New Delhi,Date: 06 January 2024-Two-days 'Laughter Weekend' was organized by Delhi Tourism which concluded today on a successful note with enchanting recitals of exquisite poems by an array of legendry Hindi poets.
In today’s busy & fast paced world, where people find it difficult to devote much time to family and personal life, the role of organizing fairs and festivals gains high significance. Such endeavours have played an important role in the Indian Culture for centuries. On top of that, if a festival is related to laughter, then it becomes an incredible way to pull people out of their problems, stress, depression and other worries.
Keeping the above context of the human predicament of the modern era in mind, it is our duty to revive the art of writing humorous poetry and spread joy in people's lives. With the same objective, a Laughter Weekend was organized by Delhi Tourism on 5th and 6th January, 2024.
The first day of the event called ‘Comedy Night’ featured the performance of renowned celebrity comedian Mr. Sunil Grover and group which made the audience burst into laughter and tears of joy.
On the second day, i.e., the concluding day of the Laughter Weekend, the renowned Hindi Poet Padamshree Awardee Sh. Ashok Chakradhar along with Shri Arun Gemini, Dr. Popular Meeruthi, Dr. Praveen Shukla, Mrs. Madhu Mohini Upadhyay, Mr. Ved Prakash Ved, Mr. Pankaj Prasun, Dr. Bhumika Jain, and Mr. Rasik Gupta recited their exquisite poems at the Hasya Kavi Sammelan. The audience were enthralled with the captivating performances of legendry poets during “Hasya Kavi Sammelan”.

This Laughter Weekend was organized for those looking for moments of laughter and joy with their loved ones in a fast-paced life. The event concluded with a promise to meet in another such event to be organized by Delhi Tourism very soon.
