Chandigarh, April 13, 2025:On the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, a religious program was organized on Sunday at Gurdwara Partakh Darshan Patshahi 6th Sahib, located at PGI Chandigarh, by the volunteer organization Naufal Ek Umeed Charitable Trust (Regd.). The event featured the Bhog (culmination) of the Akhand Sahib Path followed by a Kirtan Darbar.

The program was graced by Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Cabinet Minister in the Delhi Government, as the Chief Guest, and Sanjay Tandon, National Executive Member of BJP and Co-Incharge of BJP Himachal Pradesh, as the Special Guest.

The organization’s President, S. Sukhdev Singh, along with Gurmeet Singh, extended a grand welcome to both guests by honoring them with traditional robes (Siropa) and presenting them with ceremonial swords (Kirpan). During the event, representatives of another Himachal-based organization, World Himachali Organization — Ravindra Pathania, Rajpal Dogar, Sanjeev Grover, Amit Rana, Suresh Rana, Rakesh Sharma, and Nitesh Ratan — welcomed the guests by presenting them with floral bouquets and shawls.

Dr. Varinder Garg, OSD to Union Health Minister JP Nadda, was also present and extended his welcome to the chief guests.

Following this, Bhai Narinder Singh Ji, Hazoori Ragi, and Bhai Satnam Singh Banka, Hazoori Ragi from Shri Darbar Sahib, spiritually connected the congregation with the Guru's words through soulful kirtan.

In his address, Chief Guest Manjinder Singh Sirsa extended Baisakhi greetings to all and recalled that on this day, the tenth Sikh Guru founded the Khalsa Panth at the holy site of Shri Anandpur Sahib to protect righteousness. He also emphasized that farmers across the country begin the harvest of their crops on this day. Praising the efforts of the Trust, he highlighted how the Gurdwara Committee at PGI prepares langar daily for more than 8,000 people and also provides accommodation — a true reflection of the Sikh faith’s dedication to selfless service. He called this an extraordinary act of benevolence and saluted every member of the committee involved.

Sanjay Tandon, BJP National Executive Member, also addressed the gathering and wished everyone a happy Baisakhi. He said the festival marks the beginning of the harvest season. It is a symbol of prosperity and abundance, as farmers thank the Almighty for their crops and pray for future blessings. The festival also reminds us of the power of unity and the joy of collective celebration.
