Ludhiana 21 December 2025-The pathologists from the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana attended the Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologist Congress-2025 held at Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Dr. T. Mohanapriya won Young Scientist Award for Molecular Pathology work. She also received second best PhD thesis award for her research work on “Immunophenotyping and miRNA expression as biomarkers in canine lymphoma” under the guidance of Dr. Vishal Mahajan. Dr. Rajat Sood, PhD student bagged the best poster presentation award for his MVSc research work done under the guidance of Dr Omer K Baba. In the ICVP technical session, Dr.Rajat Sood received the best-case presentation award for paper, Dr. Chagi Nagalinga, MVSc Scholar also received the second best ICVP case presentation award. Further, another MVSc Student Dr. Pranesh M received the consolation award during this session.

Dr. Amarjit Singh, former Professor of the department and Vice-president ICVP, chaired the session and also presented the lead paper. Dr. Kuldip Gupta, HoD, appreciated the students for their active participation during the congress.

Dr. J.P.S. Gill was all praise for the students and appreciated the faculty in training the students.
