Chandigarh, April 15 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij launched a verbal attack on Rahul Gandhi, stating that Rahul Gandhi has lost several elections. He remarked that if Rahul Gandhi were a “Babbar Sher” (lion), he would not have been defeated.
He also said that delimitation is underway in Haryana and the number of Lok Sabha and Assembly seats is increasing. Additionally, he said that transfers at any level within a department should be made with the knowledge of the concerned minister.
Sh. Vij was speaking to media persons today.
Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s statement where he said he is not afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but rather that Modi is afraid of the Congress as a “Babbar Sher” would catch him and action would follow, Vij took a jibe saying this is why Rahul Gandhi is facing defeat in every state. He reiterated that Rahul Gandhi has lost many elections and added that if he were truly a “Babbar Sher,” he would not have been defeated.
*“BJP workers are active 365 days; will win all three municipal bodies” – Vij’s sharp attack on opposition*
Responding to discussions on municipal corporation elections, Anil Vij said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is always ready for elections and will win in all three places. He criticized opposition parties, saying they become active only during elections, whereas BJP workers remain among the public throughout the year.
He claimed that just as people of the state supported the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the development works of the state government in the Assembly and previous local body elections, the BJP will again emerge victorious in the upcoming municipal elections. He added that development work in all municipal corporations, including Ambala, will be further accelerated and the public will not be misled by the opposition’s false promises.
*“Delimitation is underway in Haryana; seats increasing” – Vij*
On the issue of delimitation, Vij described it as an important process. He said that delimitation is underway and the number of Lok Sabha and Assembly seats is increasing. All constituencies will be redrawn, and Haryana may have around 120 Assembly seats, with possible restructuring.
*“Transfers must be done with minister’s knowledge” – Vij*
Regarding discussions on transfers in his departments, Vij said the matter is being misrepresented. He clarified that as per rules, transfers at any level should be carried out with the knowledge of the departmental minister and must proceed through his office. He mentioned receiving complaints where transfers were made directly, following which he issued written instructions.
