One person arrested in Excise Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Anil Kumar @ Lilu R/o #- 2803/3, EWS Colony Maloya, Chandigarh from petrol pump Sector-44 towards labour chowk on dated 18-05-2026 and recovered 68 quarters of liquor mark “shokeen santra masaledar” from his possession. A case FIR No. 69 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-34 Chandigarh later on the accused person was bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One person arrested in Theft Case

A case FIR No. 77 U/S 305, 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-36 Chandigarh on the complaint of lady R/o # Sector-44, Chandigarh as Branch Secretary Radhasoami Satsang, Sector-35-C, Chandigarh against two unknown person they stole away LPG Cylinder from Satsang Hall Premises, Radha soami Satsang, Sector-35-C, Chandigarh on 15-05-2026. During the investigation the accused Harman R/o # 1023 Dadu Majra Chandigarh was arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 74 U/S 318(4), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Mauli Jagran Chandigarh on the complaint of Jaswinder Singh R/o H.No 16 Makhan Majra, Chandigarh against Tarandeep Singh R/O H.No 164 Near Valmiki Mandir, Nayagaon, Mohali Punjab who cheated complainant of Rs 6,02,500/- on the pretext of arranging an Australia Tourist Visa and later provided fake visa documents. The accused also retained the complainant’s original passport and Aadhar card. Investigation of this case is in progress.
