CHANDIGARH,22.05.26-A delegation of the Residents Welfare Association, MHC Sector-13, Chandigarh, led by its President Colonel Gursewak Singh (War Veteran), comprising General Secretary S.A. Qureshi and Secretary Coordination Ms. Mandeep Kaur, met the Chief Executive Officer, Chandigarh Housing Board, Shri D. Karthikeyan, IAS, on 22nd May 2026 to apprise him of long-pending issues pertaining to dwelling units in MHC.

The President pointed out that although lifts are permitted in blocks under existing provisions, necessary permission is still not granted even after all conditions are fulfilled.

Secondly, the issue of need-based changes was raised. The CEO stated that he would soon make a site visit to take a final decision on both issues

on 22nd May 2026 to apprise him of long-pending issues pertaining to dwelling units in MHC.
