Chandigarh, May 29:- MC Joint Commissioner Sh. Balbir Raj conducted an inspection of various gaushalas under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh to assess the status of animal welfare, sanitation, and maintenance of facilities. The inspection was carried out in the presence of Gaushala Incharge Sh. Mohinder Pathak, Health Supervisor.

During the visit, the Joint Commissioner reviewed the availability of fodder and drinking water for cattle, cleanliness of sheds, waste management practices, and overall arrangements for the well-being of animals. Special emphasis was laid on maintaining hygienic conditions and ensuring proper care of the cattle housed in the gaushalas.

Balbir Raj directed the concerned officials to maintain high standards of cleanliness and strengthen monitoring mechanisms for the upkeep of the facilities. He stressed the importance of timely sanitation measures, regular health checks for cattle, and efficient management of resources to provide a safe and healthy environment for the animals.
