Such an approach, he said, would not only spare people the inconvenience of making repeated visits to government offices but would also make the administrative system more efficient, transparent and citizen-centric.

He sought department-wise information from officers of HSIIDC, the Public Works Department (PWD), Municipal Corporation Gurugram and GMDA regarding the condition of roads in different parts of the city.
He said that officers should not limit themselves to addressing only those issues that are formally reported. Instead, they should conduct regular field inspections and proactively identify stretches requiring repair, strengthening or reconstruction. He directed that all road improvement works be completed in a time-bound manner, keeping public convenience as the foremost consideration.
The Chief Minister further directed the officers to closely monitor complaints received through the State Government’s ‘Mhari Sadak’ mobile application and ensure their prompt resolution. Comprehensive Report Sought on Sector-4 Civic Problems
A resident of Sector-4 raised issues relating to waterlogging, drinking water supply, sewerage and other civic amenities in the locality.

Haryana Government Extends One-Time Settlement Scheme-2026, Providing Major Relief to Traders
Scheme to remain operational till September 28, 2026, traders to get substantial relief in legacy tax disputes
Chandigarh, June 1 – In a major relief to the trading community, the Haryana Government has taken another historic and highly significant decision by extending the timeline of the One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme-2026 for the resolution of long-pending tax disputes. The scheme aims to provide a permanent and expeditious settlement of legacy tax matters, enabling traders to secure relief from prolonged litigation and outstanding tax liabilities while further strengthening the ease of doing business in the state.
Sharing details of the scheme, a government spokesperson said that the special relief initiative has come into effect from June 1, 2026, and will remain operational until September 28, 2026.
The spokesperson further shared that similar initiatives undertaken by the Haryana Government have received an overwhelming response from the business community in the past. In 2025 alone, a record 1,15,223 traders availed scheme benefits and successfully resolved their pending tax disputes.
The spokesperson said that the government has introduced even more liberal and taxpayer-friendly provisions under the latest edition of the scheme. One of its most significant features is that small taxpayers having outstanding tax dues of up to Rs. 1 lakh in any financial year will receive an automatic waiver of tax, interest and penalty, without the need to submit any application or visit any government office.
In addition, traders having tax arrears exceeding Rs. 1 lakh under the Haryana General Sales Tax Act, 1973, will be eligible for substantial relief, with the government providing a tax concession of up to 70 per cent in eligible cases.
The spokesperson further shared that several additional concessions have been incorporated to provide greater financial support to taxpayers. Under the scheme, all eligible cases will be granted a 100 per cent waiver of interest and penalty, significantly reducing the burden of long-standing liabilities. Recognising the practical and financial challenges faced by businesses, the government has also provided the facility of making settlement payments in easy instalments, thereby eliminating the need for a one-time lump-sum payment.
The scope of the scheme is comprehensive and extends across multiple tax laws. Pending cases arising under seven tax enactments administered by the Haryana Government will be covered under the scheme, ensuring broad-based dispute resolution for the trading community.
Reaffirming the government's commitment to the welfare and growth of the business sector, the spokesperson said that traders and entrepreneurs are the backbone of economic progress and national development. The One-Time Settlement Scheme-2026 offers a valuable opportunity to free businesses from the financial and psychological burden of legacy tax disputes, allowing them to focus on growth, investment and economic expansion with greater confidence.
The Haryana Government has appealed to all eligible traders and taxpayers to avail themselves of the benefits of the scheme and complete the settlement process well before the closing date of September 28, 2026.
