A Case FIR No. 85 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-26, Chandigarh against Jashanpreet S/o Pardeep Singh R/o #2631, Sector-44C, Chandigarh, who was apprehended near the Garbage Collection Point, Sector-27, Chandigarh on 04-07-2026 at about 11:40 PM. During the search, 34 bottles of liquor were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 108 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh against Raj Kumar R/o #6131, Sector-56C, Chandigarh, aged 36 years, who was apprehended near the Sports Complex, Sector-56, Chandigarh on 04-07-2026. During the search, 180 nips of country-made liquor (Himmat Super Santra) were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
One arrested under Arms Act
Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Mohd. Irfan @ Raju Khan R/o #13, EWS, Maloya, Chandigarh, aged 38 years from the Forest Area near BSF Headquarters, Phase-II, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh on 04-07-2026 at and one country-made pistol (desi katta) was recovered from his possession. In this regard a Case FIR No. 105 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh. The accused was arrested and lodged in the Operation Cell lock-up.

A Case FIR No. 91 u/s 115(2), 126, 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Jagdish Singh R/o Village Chalheri, Tehsil Rajpura, District Patiala, Punjab, aged 44 years against four unknown persons who wrongfully restrained and obstructed the security guard and members of the public at CTC Petrol Pump, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh on 03-07-2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating and Immigration Act
A Case FIR No. 94 u/s 316(2), 318(4), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Deepak Kumar S/o Jagatram Singh R/o Village Kohrapur, District Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh against three unknown persons who cheated the complainant near the Sector 22/23 Light Point, Chandigarh on 17-06-2026 by stealing his mobile phone. The accused fraudulently transferred ₹80,000/- using the complainant’s phone and also withdrew ₹10,000/- from his PhonePe account. Investigation is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 86 u/s 318(4) BNS & Sections 10, 24, 26 of the Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Lalit Mohan R/o Village Durga Kandi, District Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand against the owners of M/s Gulzerian RC OPC Pvt. Ltd., R/o #10 Timber Square, Madhya Marg, Sector 26, Chandigarh and SCO 54-55-56, Sector 17A, Chandigarh. The complainant alleged that the accused cheated him of ₹2,00,000/- on the pretext of sending him abroad. Investigation is in progress.
