Those Who Enabled the Kejriwal Gang from Delhi to Take Control of Punjab Have No Standing to Talk About Federalism: Kewal Singh Dhillon
ЁЯСЙЁЯП╗ The Moment the CBI Investigation Began, the Kejriwal Gang in Delhi Suddenly Saw Punjab’s Federal Structure Under Threat: Dhillon
Chandigarh, October 8, 2026:“Those who enabled the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi gang to take control of everything from key positions in the Punjab Government to ministers’ residences have no standing to talk about the federal structure,” said Punjab BJP State President Kewal Singh Dhillon in Chandigarh on Thursday. He said that the moment the CBI began investigating alleged corruption in the government, the Delhi-based gang suddenly started seeing Punjab’s federal structure as being under threat.
He said that the government’s argument before the Supreme Court that fabricated cases were being raised because of the Punjab Assembly elections was proof that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was merely seeking political excuses to evade accountability. Dhillon said that AAP leaders had been claiming in the media that the CBI investigation amounted to interference in the federal structure. “This government initially made these arguments in the media to mislead the people and is now repeating the same hollow arguments before the Supreme Court,” he said.
The BJP State President said that neither the BJP nor the Narendra Modi-led Central Government had asked the CBI to conduct the investigation. The CBI investigation was ordered by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The court issued these directions after the Punjab Police failed to register an FIR and the state government failed to conduct any investigation into the matter, despite the ED writing to it three times. This shows that there is not merely something wrong—the entire system is tainted.
He said that the real threat to the federal structure of the state comes from this corrupt government. “When the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) itself becomes a hub of corruption, one can imagine what the situation must be like at lower levels,” he said.
Dhillon said that the Aam Aadmi Party government was invoking the federal structure to divert attention from corruption cases and garner public sympathy, but the people of Punjab understand everything. He said that the law will take its course and those involved in corruption will not be spared, regardless of how high their positions may be.

ЁЯСЙЁЯП╗ Supreme Court Exposes AAP’s Misuse of Power in Local Body Elections: Ashwani Sharma
Chandigarh, October 8:Former Punjab BJP State President and MLA Ashwani Sharma said that the Supreme Court’s decision to cancel and order fresh elections in 50 Municipal Corporation/Municipal Council wards in Patiala and Moga districts has raised serious questions about the functioning of the Punjab ‘AAP’ government. He said the decision has also exposed the state government’s high-handedness during the local body elections.
In a statement issued from the party office in Chandigarh, Ashwani Sharma said that the report of the fact-finding committee appointed by the Supreme Court had highlighted serious irregularities during the nomination process, including preventing candidates from filing nominations, snatching, tearing or destroying nomination papers, and threatening candidates. The committee found irregularities in the election process in 28 wards of Patiala, as well as all 15 wards of Bagha Purana and 7 wards of Dharamkot in Moga district. Following this, the Supreme Court ordered fresh elections in these wards within six weeks.
He said that in a democracy, elections are not merely about casting votes; they also carry the responsibility of ensuring a level playing field and equal opportunity for every candidate. Ashwani Sharma alleged that the Punjab ‘AAP’ government misused its power to suppress the voices of opposition candidates.
He said that the Supreme Court’s decision to constitute a monitoring committee headed by a retired High Court judge and order videography of the entire process, from nomination to polling, makes it clear that the electoral process requires close supervision. Ashwani Sharma said that the people of Punjab would not tolerate any compromise with democracy or the conduct of free and fair elections.

Sunil Jakhar stages protest outside Punjab Development Commission office, calls it a “hub of corruption” and a group of “non-state actors”
* Says Kejriwal has outsourced Punjab’s governance to the PDC, which has further outsourced the responsibility to its alleged partners.
* Questions what plans the commission has prepared so far for Punjab’s development.
Chandigarh, October 8: Former Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar staged a protest outside the Punjab Development Commission (PDC) office on Thursday, alleging that the institution had become a centre for looting the state by sidelining constitutional institutions and dismantling the legal framework. He described it as a “hub of corruption in Punjab” and a group of “non-state actors” allegedly plundering the state while undermining its governance structure.
Speaking to the media outside the office, Jakhar alleged that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had “mortgaged Punjab to Arvind Kejriwal.” He said Kejriwal had, in turn, outsourced the task of looting Punjab to his appointees in the commission, who were also being paid hefty salaries from the state treasury.
Accusing the Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party government of being turned into a “corporation,” Jakhar said Kejriwal was its chairman and Manish Sisodia its CEO. He alleged that Kejriwal had established this commission, which he called ‘Punjab’s Den of Corruption’, to plan the maximum possible plunder of Punjab in the shortest possible time. Rather than serving as the Punjab Development Commission, he said, it had become a “commission for looting Punjab.” He further alleged that Kejriwal’s preferred individuals had been appointed in disregard of rules and laws and were receiving salaries higher than those of senior government officials.
Jakhar claimed that the commission’s appointees were collectively being paid approximately тВ╣2 crore a month in salaries. He also alleged that the commission had collected Punjab residents’ personal data under various pretexts. Citing the collection of data on drug use as a recent example, he said extensive personal information had been gathered, which could subsequently be misused for political or commercial purposes. He described the exercise itself as “highly illegal.”
Jakhar claimed that the commission did not have a single Punjabi member who understood the state’s local conditions. He further alleged that it had neither held substantive discussions with Punjab’s legislators and ministers nor sought their advice. He questioned how the commission could prepare meaningful development plans for Punjab without such consultation. Its appointees might hold impressive academic qualifications, he said, but alleged that their intentions were entirely directed towards looting the state.
Referring to agriculture, Jakhar said farmers were facing difficulties while an agricultural policy that had already been prepared remained unimplemented. He also questioned whether painting 3,602 schools in the Aam Aadmi Party’s colours amounted to an education policy. He said the party’s own legislators were raising concerns over teacher shortages and added that Punjab did not need such a commission’s advice to decide what colour to paint its schools.
Jakhar further alleged that the same individuals had manipulated the power corporation’s accounts to show the electricity board as profitable on paper despite its losses, and were now seeking a тВ╣10,000 crore loan for the corporation.
He questioned the need for the PDC when Punjab already had a Planning Commission and a Planning Department. He demanded that the development plans prepared by the commission be made public or that it be shut down immediately.
Describing the commission’s appointees as “non-state actors,” enjoying powers of the State while being answerable to no one but Kejriwal. Jakhar appealed to IAS officers to uphold their accountability to the law and preserve their own dignity and that of Punjab instead of bowing to these individuals.
Jakhar said the BJP would take its campaign against the commission to the people and expose alleged corruption under the Aam Aadmi Party government. Demanding the commission’s immediate closure, he warned that every individual responsible for looting Punjab would be held accountable after the elections.
Jakhar questions staffing and salaries at PDC
Sunil Jakhar said more than 85 officers and employees had been appointed to the commission, which he described as a “white elephant.” He claimed that it had prepared no plans for Punjab’s welfare and had instead begun the unethical and illegal practice of collecting and selling people’s data.
Sharing details of officials’ salaries, Jakhar said a senior adviser received тВ╣3.30 lakh per month, an adviser тВ╣2.65 lakh, a joint adviser тВ╣2.20 lakh and a deputy adviser тВ╣1.40 lakh. He added that the chief communications adviser and the chief digital officer were also being paid up to тВ╣2.65 lakh per month.

ЁЯСЙЁЯП╗ Stop Being Kejriwal’s Parrot and If CM Have the Courage, Tell the Truth to people of Punjab : Shwait Malik
ЁЯСЙЁЯП╗ State Government Should Stop Linking BJP’s Name with CBI Probe : Shwait Malik
Chandigarh: October 8, 2026-Former Punjab BJP state president and former Rajya Sabha member Shwait Malik on Thursday targeted Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He advised Mann to stop being Arvind Kejriwal’s parrot and, if he has the courage, tell the truth to the people of Punjab. He said that the people of Punjab now want answers, not political rhetoric. The government should explain why the situation reached the point where a CBI probe was ordered into the allegations of corruption. Malik said that the people of Punjab are watching everything. He challenged the Chief Minister to face the investigation and put the facts before the public.
Malik said that corruption in the Punjab government has been exposed. The government should now stop trying to mislead the public, as the people will not be swayed by such attempts. He said that after serious allegations of corruption have come to light, the state government should answer them. Instead of diverting attention from the issue, the Chief Minister should clarify his position on the allegations.
He also said that the Aam Aadmi Party government should stop linking the BJP’s name with the CBI probe and tell the public why the High Court ordered a CBI investigation. Malik said that the BJP did not order the CBI probe. He said that there should be no attempt to give a political colour to the High Court’s order. The government should cooperate with the investigation. Malik alleged that the state government was invoking the BJP’s name to avoid accountability. However, merely taking the BJP’s name does not make the allegations of corruption disappear. The government will have to answer the questions.
