MANIMAJRA, 01.01.25-Gurukul Global School, in collaboration with Rotary Club Chandigarh Midtown, organized the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) 2024 on December 28, 2024. The event brought together Interact Club members from schools across the tricity to foster leadership, teamwork and community service.
Principal Urvashi Kakkar warmly welcomed everyone, setting a positive tone for the day by highlighting the importance of leadership, teamwork and community service.
The program commenced with the National Anthem and the lighting of the lamp ceremony, followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana performed by Gurukul Global students. A vibrant cultural performance by students of Kundan International School captivated the audience. Later, students from GMHS Sector 13, Manimajra, and GMSS Sector 35, Chandigarh presented a series of energetic and engaging performances, adding excitement and enthusiasm to the event.
Motivational talks included a session by Rotarian Salil Chopra on moral values and ethics, and an impactful lecture on goal setting by Mrs. Mridul Jhingan. Dr. Nitya Prakash delivered an inspiring talk on leadership and innovation.
The event was graced by eminent dignitaries, including President Rotary Chandigarh Midtown Nitin Kapoor, District Governor Nominated Dr. Rita Kalra, Past President Dr. Sanjay Kalra, Past President BL Ram Sisaria, Past President RK Luther, First Lady Shivani Kapoor, Past President Vinod Jawa, Past President Ashok Puri, RTN Amarjit Singh, DG RTN Salil Chopra. RTN Renu Chopra, RTN VK Jawa and rotractors Rashdeep Singh with a team of Rotract Club members Chandigarh, Midtown brought their valuable insights and leadership to the program.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, memento presentations, and a celebration of the participants’ efforts by Event Chair RAnne Ms. Nandita Sisodia marking the day as a significant milestone in empowering young leaders.
