CHANDIGARH, 27.01.25-Under the aegis of the Founders and Directors Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel and Dr. Annie Charles Samuel alongwith the Principal Dr. Parveena John Singh, Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with immense patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. The event showcased the collective pride of the school community as students and staff came together to honor the spirit of the Indian Constitution and its legacy.
The celebrations commenced with the reading from the Holy Bible, followed by the ceremonial unfurling of the National Flag by the Founders and Directors, Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel and Dr. Annie Charles Samuel, accompanied by the Principal, Dr. Parveena John Singh. The National Anthem reverberated through the school grounds, instilling a sense of unity and pride among all present.
Students delivered stirring speeches and poems in English and Hindi, reflecting on the significance of Republic Day and the ideals enshrined in the Constitution. A series of cultural performances, including patriotic songs and well-choreographed dances, filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and reverence for the nation. The highlight of the event was a thought-provoking skit titled “Viksit Bharat ,” which emphasized the role of every citizen in building a progressive and united India.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Parveena John Singh urged the students to uphold the principles of justice, equality, and liberty, as envisioned by the Constitution.
