Chandigarh, December 30 – The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) Chairman, Sh. Himmat Singh while addressing a press conference on Monday said that since assuming office on June 8, 2024, and the subsequent reconstitution of the Commission on July 18, 2024, significant steps have been taken to streamline the recruitment process in the interest of candidates.
He shared that this year, the Commission declared results for a total of 56,830 candidates, of which approximately 36,000 results were successfully announced in just 56 working days by the Commission.
Divulging the details about the Commission’s achievements and initiatives, Sh. Himmat Singh said that the Commission has utilized social media platforms to raise awareness among candidates and linked them with the Commission's official website. For the first time, candidates can directly contact any officer of the Commission via phone or message to register their complaints.
He said that the Commission strongly advocated for the interests of the candidates in court regarding the delayed recruitments.
Sh. Himmat Singh shared that a total of 266 cases were filed concerning the results of 24,000 recruitments announced by the Commission, and 418 cases were filed regarding the TGT exam results, on which the Commission is taking swift action. The Commission successfully conducted 28 exams in just 56 days. The remaining exams will also be conducted soon. The state has released the largest result of 24,000 candidates, shared Sh. The Chairman shared that compared to previous years, this year saw the highest number of youth being provided employment, with 56,830 selections.
Sharing the details about these recruitments, Sh. Himmat Singh said in the 2015 , the recruitment was done on 2,780 posts, while in 2016, the recruitment was done on 2,229 posts, in 2017, recruitment was done on 8,403 posts, in 2018 recruitment was done on 20,141 posts, in 2019, recruitment was done on 34,649 posts, in 2020, recruitment was done on 8,694 posts, in 2021 recruitment was done on 3,651 posts, in 2022 recruitment was done on 16,366 posts and in 2023 recruitment was done on 838 posts.
Sharing the future plans , the Chairman said that the Commission has decided to make an annual exam calendar. Besides this, a Grievance Portal will be launched for complaints, where a specific time frame for resolution will be fixed, and candidates will receive updates via messages. If any candidate disagrees with the resolution provided, they will be able to file a grievance again on the same issue.
Sh. Himmat Singh further shared that ‘Samadhan Shivir’ will be organized to resolve court cases. The provision for OTR (One Time Registration) for candidates will be introduced. He said that pending exams will be conducted, and remaining results will be declared. Coordination with departments will ensure that issues related to joining are resolved on a priority basis.
Sh. Himmat Singh said that the Commission is making dedicated efforts every information should be easily available to the candidates and their complaints should be resolved sitting at home.

*Sh. Vipul Goel Reviews Progress of Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Urges Swift Action on Key Initiatives*
Chandigarh, December 30: Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Sh. Vipul Goel, directed revenue officers today to expedite the completion of the Gredawari (village land record) and assess the crop damage caused by the recent hailstorms that affected various districts of the state. Emphasizing that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard, Sh. Goel also called for the urgent upgrading and enhancement of the fire and emergency services system in the state.
*Expedited Action on Crop Damage Assessment*
While reviewing the work of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sh. Goel focused on the timely and accurate assessment of the damage caused to crops by recent hailstorms. He directed that the Gredawari process be completed swiftly and that the revenue officers immediately begin evaluating the extent of crop losses across the affected districts.
Sh. Goel said that there would be no tolerance for delays or negligence in these critical tasks. He stressed the importance of ensuring that farmers who have suffered losses due to the hailstorms receive timely compensation and support from the state government.
*Urgent Need for Upgrading Fire and Emergency Services*
In the meeting, Sh. Goel emphasized the pressing need for the state’s fire and emergency services system to be upgraded to meet modern standards. Highlighting the critical importance of having an efficient and well-equipped emergency response system, the Minister underscored the need for these services to be equipped with the latest technology, advanced training, and adequate resources.
He pointed out that modernizing the fire and emergency services would lead to significant improvements in their efficiency, safety, and timely response during emergency. This would ultimately help save lives, minimize property damage, and enhance the overall safety of the public.
*Comprehensive Plan for System Improvement*
Sh. Goel further directed the officers to conduct a thorough assessment of the current infrastructure of the fire and emergency services and devise a comprehensive plan to address existing gaps in the system. He also emphasized the importance of improving coordination among various departments involved in disaster management and emergency response to ensure a more integrated and streamlined approach to handling crises.
The Minister reiterated that the Haryana Government remains committed to provide the best possible services to the public, and that necessary steps would be taken to strengthen the state’s disaster management and emergency services infrastructure.

Agriculture Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana, stated that he comes from a farming family and is well aware of the challenges faced by farmers in agriculture. *Haryana stands first in PRAGATI Dashboard: Chief Secretary reviews crime tracking system *
Chandigarh, December 30 - Haryana Chief Secretary Dr Vivek Joshi presided over the 29th meeting of the State Apex Committee for Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) here today.
It was revealed in the meeting that Haryana has consistently topped the PRAGATI Dashboard 29 times in the past 39 months, showcasing the sustained excellence and commitment of the state police force since June 2021. The portal is supervised by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) for all states and union territories. In addition, Haryana Police has also achieved a perfect 10/10 score on the RTS dashboard for citizen services provided through the HarSamay portal. As of December 26, 2024, Haryana Police has completed over 64,57,071 applications, processing them within the prescribed timelines. This performance has placed Haryana Police at the forefront among all departments in the state, with the highest number of applications processed through the SARAL portal.
It was informed that e-Summon facility has been successfully implemented in Sirsa district which was selected for this pilot project. The Chief Secretary was informed that e-Summon portal will be made operational by 31st January in the state. It was also informed that the provision of sending alerts from e-Prsions to concerned SHOs and SPs on release of wanted persons and repeated offenders has been made.
Significant developments were also reported during the meeting regarding the implementation of various technological initiatives. On November 21, 2024, a live dashboard was integrated into the CCTNS Core Application Software, as part of the DGsP/IGsP Conference. This addition aims to further streamline the tracking of crime and criminal data in real time. Furthermore, the introduction of the e-Sign facility in the FIR (IIF-1) system on November 29, 2024, and in the Final Form (IIF-5) system on December 20, 2024, is expected to bring greater efficiency to the documentation and processing of police records.
The Haryana Police has also seen a notable rise in the number of e-Sakshya users, which grew from 14,872 users on August 30, 2024, to 17,655 users by December 27, 2024. In line with its efforts to improve operational efficiency, the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) has developed a CCTNS Mobile App for iOS. The app will soon be made available to further enhance the mobility and accessibility of CCTNS services for officers on the ground. Additionally, Haryana Police is working on installing Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to facilitate secure access on mobile devices, with support from HARTRON and NIC being sought for the installation process.
Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Dr Sumita Misra said the state government is strengthening the prosecution department by creating law officer posts under the new criminal laws and filling the vacancies.
