Two arrested under NDPS Act

A Case FIR No. 78 U/S 21, 29 NDPS Act, 204 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sarangpur against Kuldeep (37), a resident of Village Parch, Mohali, and Kulwinder Singh alias Lamp (25), a resident of KhudaLahora, Chandigarh, who were arrested at the IRB Complex Turn, Sarangpur, on November 18. Police recovered 19 grams of heroin from their possession. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A Case FIR No. 200 U/S 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station 17 against Raj Kumar, son of Ishwar Singh, resident of Sector 17, Chandigarh, who is accused of speeding away after hitting a complainant's Activa with his car on the dividing road of Sector 16/17, Chandigarh, on November 12. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to Government Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 171 U/S 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station 39 on the complaint of Kunal Bansal, resident of Sector 38A, Chandigarh, who reported a hit-and-run incident involving an i10 car that struck his 3-year-old daughter, Ahana Bansal, near their home on October 24,. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to Government Hospital, Sector 16. No arrests have been made so far. Investigation of the case is in progress..

Theft

A Case FIR No. 243 U/S 305, 331(4) BNS has been registered at Police Station 36 on the complaint of lady resident of Sector 43C, Chandigarh, who reported a burglary that occurred on the night of November 17-18. An unidentified person stole 4 kitty sets, 2 bangles, 1 pair of earrings, 2 pairs of tops, 4 rings, and ₹90,000 in cash from her house. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 93 U/S 305 BNS has been registered at Police Station 49 on the complaint of ASI Manjeet Singh who reported a theft at the Punjab Police Public School, Sector 48C, Chandigarh, on November 17, around 6:30 PM. An unknown person stole 14 water taps, 5 wall cocks, 16 fire safety water pumps, 10 double taps, 5 connection pipes, 2 pillar cocks, a jet handle, and damaged other household items. Investigation of the case is in progress.
