SHIMLA-31st December, 2024-Revenue and Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi here today chaired the first meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee tasked with reviewing the cases of land transferred to various departments.
It was informed in the meeting that 31,031 bighas of land has been transferred to various departments by the Revenue Department till 30th November, 2024. 20,562 bighas of land has been transferred to the Industries Department, 2,309 bighas to Multipurpose Projects and Power, 2,942 bighas to Animal Husbandry Department and 628 bighas to Tourism and Civil Aviation Department.
The Revenue Minister directed the officers to seek details of unutilized land transferred to various departments. Reports will be sought from all districts and departments in this regard. A decision will be taken regarding unutilized land in the next meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee.
Additional Chief Secretary Onkar Chand Sharma, Director Agriculture Kumud Singh, Director Industries Dr. Yunus, Additional Secretary Revenue Balwan Chand, Senior officers of Animal Husbandry and Tourism Department were also present in the meeting.
