MAHENDERGARH, 23.03.25-Department of Statistics, Central University of Haryana (CUH) organized the 6th edition of the one week national workshop on ‘Statistical Data Analysis using SPSS and R’. The aim of the workshop is to address the existing need of the various statistical tools in data analysis. This workshop is the platform to discuss the current advances in the applications of statistical tools. The objective is to enhance the knowledge of participants who want to become researchers, the workshop is designed with a focus on faculty members, research scholars, postgraduate and undergraduate students from all the disciplines. Speaking about the workshop Vice Chancellor, Central University of Haryana Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar this workshop is the need of time that will help the young researchers to utilize these application in their innovative research work related to different disciplines like statistics, mathematics, psychology, medical science, education etc.
Dr. Ravinder Singh, Convener of the workshop, welcomed all participants and provided a brief overview of the workshop. Dr. Pavitra Kumari, Organizing Secretary of the workshop, presented the workshop report.The workshop on Statistical Data Analysis using SPSS and R aimed to introduce participants to both fundamental and advanced statistical techniques. A key highlight of the workshop was the hands-on training sessions on R and SPSS, which provided practical exposure to statistical tools. This workshop will help participants enhance their understanding and application of statistical methods using SPSS and R software. The Valedictory session of the workshop began with Prof.(Dr.) Ranjan Kumar Sahoo, head of the department, introducing the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar to the participants. Following this, participants shared their feedback on the workshop.
Dr. Vinay Kumar, Co-Convener of the workshop, expressed gratitude by delivering the vote of thanks.The event was honored by the presence of distinguished faculty members and research scholars, including Dr. Pawan Kumar, Dr. Tarun Kumar, Dr. Anoop Kumar, Dr. Priya Yadav, Ms. Anju Grewal, and Ms. Rinku Poonia, who actively participated in the session. The participants include faculties, research scholars, postgraduate and undergraduate students from reputed colleges and universities across the country.
