Ghaziabad MP & BJP Chandigarh In-Charge Atul Garg Visits City, Meets Traders, Assures Action on House Tax Issue

Chandigarh:09.04.25-Member of Parliament from Ghaziabad and BJP Chandigarh in-charge Shri Atul Garg arrived in the city on a two-day visit, during which he met with local traders, social organizations, and members of the general public. A key point of discussion during his visit was the recent hike in house tax, which has raised concerns among the city’s business community. Garg listened to their issues with seriousness and assured them that a resolution would be sought soon.

MP Atul Garg stated:
“Chandigarh is a beautiful and well-organized city, and the voices of its people cannot be ignored. The issues raised by the traders are completely justified. As both a BJP representative and an elected Member of Parliament, I assure everyone that this matter will be taken up with the administration with full seriousness. Our effort is to ensure relief for the people, and that no decision should be taken without public consensus.”

He further added, “The core values of the Bharatiya Janata Party are seva (service), samarpan (dedication), and samvaad (dialogue). Our goal is to stay connected with the people and work towards long-term solutions to their problems. The traders of Chandigarh have always contributed to the city’s development, and protecting their interests is a top priority for us.”

Statement by Chandigarh BJP President Jitender Pal Malhotra:

“Our in-charge, Shri Atul Garg Ji’s visit has proved to be significant for the people of Chandigarh. He met citizens and traders directly on the ground, which reflects the BJP’s working style—focused on connection and action.
The increase in house tax has created legitimate concern among the trader community, and we have raised this issue in the past as well. Now, under the leadership of our MP, we will present this matter even more forcefully before the administration.”

Malhotra added that the BJP has always stood with the people and will continue to be the voice of every citizen of Chandigarh
