Chandigarh, September 6-Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister, Dr. Baljit Kaur, convened a crucial meeting with representatives of the ETT 5994 Backlog Union (Punjab) to address their demands. During the meeting, the union representatives expressed their gratitude towards Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Dr. Baljit Kaur for initiating the recruitment process to fill the backlog vacancies of teachers from Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes.

The union representatives acknowledged the government’s prompt action and appreciated the Chief Minister and Dr. Kaur for their unwavering dedication to ensuring the welfare of marginalized sections.

Dr. Baljit Kaur assured the union that the recruitment for the 5994 vacant ETT teacher posts will proceed swiftly, with 2994 of these posts reserved to fill the backlog for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes. This recruitment marks a significant step toward fulfilling the state’s promise to uplift these communities.

Further emphasizing the Punjab Government's commitment, Dr. Baljit Kaur highlighted that the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has already directed various departments to accelerate efforts to provide employment to the state's youth and clear the existing backlog of vacancies for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes.

Dr. Kaur reaffirmed the government's pledge to improve the quality of life and employment opportunities for the youth of Punjab, with a special focus on those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
