Bathinda, October 24:In a huge bonanza to the residents of Bathinda city, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday dedicated two important projects, including newly renovated Girls school and Balwant Gargi Auditorium, worth Rs 41 crore to the city residents.
Punjab Chief Addressing the gathering after dedicating Balwant Gargi Auditorium to the people here today, the Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to the holistic development of Punjab and prosperity of its people. He said that heath, education, employment and others are the priority areas of the state governments and major thrust is being given on this. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that there is no dearth of funds as far as the development of state and progress of its people is concerned adding that major thrust is being laid on providing good governance and clean administration to the people.
The Chief Minister said that this state of the art auditorium, which is an engineering marvel has been constructed at a cost of Rs 30 crore. He said that the aesthetically designed auditorium has a seminar hall, two conference rooms, exhibition hall and others which can be judiciously utilised by the people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the auditorium has been named after renowned literary personality Padam Shree Balwant Gargi and was a perfect tribute to the great son of soil.
The Chief Minister said that such state of the art auditorium was earlier built only in the countries abroad but now due to strenuous efforts of state government it has been constructed here. He envisioned that this auditorium will be duly utilised for workshops, seminars and other events that will help in grooming the youth. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this will offer a healthy platform to the students and youth for excelling in life in every arena.
The Chief Minister said that these youngsters possess inherent qualities to excel in every field and their capabilities must be utilized properly. He said that the students and youth are like planes and the state government will provide them a launchpad to go ahead in life. Bhagwant Singh Mann unequivocally said that he won’t rest until the students of Punjab don’t achieve their desired goals.
The Chief Minister exhorted the youth to stay grounded even after achieving huge success in life and believe in hard work as it is the sole key to success. He impressed upon the youth to work hard in the state as there was a lot of scope of progress and prosperity on this land. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government is committed to giving impetus to the development of the state and prosperity of its people.

Chandigarh, October 24:In a Diwali Bonanza to the residents of the state, the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has abolished the condition of NOC for the registration of plots.
In a statement issued here today, the Chief Minister profusely thanked Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria for according the consent to the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation (Amendment) Act, 2024 to do away with the practice of No Objection Certificate (NOC) for registration of land deeds. He said that the Punjab assembly had given consent to this bill on September 3 after which the Governor had passed it today. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this amendment aims to ensure stringent control over the illegal colonies besides giving relief to the small plot holders.
The Chief Minister said that this is a major reprieve for the common man as it aims to overcome the problem being faced by the general public in registration of their plots and to put a check on development of unauthorized colonies. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this stipulates provisions of penalty and punishment to offenders adding that it is a historic decision aimed at ensuring the well being of common man. He said that as per the amendment any person who upto July 31, 2024, for an area upto five hundred square yard situated in an unauthorized colony, has entered into a power of attorney, agreement to sell on stamp paper, or any other such document will not require any No Objection Certificate for registration of land.
The Chief Minister said that some colonisers mint the money illegally but people have to bear the hardships due to their misdeeds adding that the illegal colonies had mushroomed up during the long misrule of the previous governments as the earlier rulers had patronized the illegal colonizers. He said that this act will give a major relief to the crores of people who had mistakenly invested their hard earned money in the illegal colonies. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these innocent people had put their money into building their homes but landed in trouble due to illegal colonies.

Bathinda, October 24:Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday said that the state government is making tireless efforts for transforming the destiny of the students by imparting quality education to them at the school level.
Interacting with the students after dedicating the new building of Shaheed Major Ravi Inder Singh Sandhu Government Girls Senior Secondary Smart School on Mall Road, the Chief Minister said that the state government had embarked education revolution in the state which has transformed the lives of students by bridging socio-economic gaps. He said that the state government is according top priority to the education sector as nothing is more important than the well being of the students. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that earlier parents didn’t have faith in the education being imparted in government schools but now these schools have been transformed into temples of modern learning.
The Chief Minister said that due to this a large number of students are coming from convent schools to join the government schools. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that health, education, power, water and infrastructure are top five priorities of his government. He said that the state government is ensuring that best practices of education are adopted in government schools of Punjab for the well being of the students.
The Chief Minister said that this is the biggest and lone school of girls in Bathinda where 2200 girls are getting education adding that constructed in 1958 this school was in dire need of renovation. He said that the new five storey building of the school has been constructed at a cost of Rs 11 crore and has 73 rooms including Smart Classrooms, Science Labs, Computer labs, Library and other facilities. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that earlier this school was operational in two shifts but now it will be operational in a single shift for the well being of the students.
Listing other initiatives taken by the state government in the education sector, the Chief Minister said that the Punjab government has sent six batches of 20 principals/education officers for a five day Leadership Development Programme to Singapore. Likewise, he said that a batch of 72 of the brightest primary teachers embarked on a journey to Finland for professional training last week. Similarly, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that three batches of 152 Headmaster/ education officers were sent to IIM Ahmedabad for getting state of the art academic training adding that the motive is to ensure that students of the state get world class education in Punjab thereby excelling in every field.
The Chief Minister said that the Punjab Government has regularized 12316 qualified employees working for more than 10 years in the School Education Department. Likewise, he said that Total 10361 teachers have been recruited since April 2022 and a process to recruit more new teachers is also going on. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that around Rs. 82 crore have been allocated for safety and cleanliness in school.
The Chief Minister said that a Total of 118 government schools are being transformed as State of Art Schools of Eminence adding that a budget of Rs.29.3 crore has been provided for high speed fiber WiFi internet connections in all government schools in the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Uniforms have been distributed to all students of Schools and a budget of around Rs 35 crore has been released for providing free uniforms to students. He said that a transport facility has been started for 118 schools of eminence and 17 girls’ senior secondary schools by School Education Department Punjab.
