Chandigarh:06.07.22- Sh. Vinod Jaiswal has taken charge as Chief General Manager of State Bank of India Chandigarh Circle which comprises Bank’s operations in the States of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and UTs of Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, with 2000+ Branches/ Offices and 20000 staff of the Bank. The SBI Chandigarh Circle serves 2.74 Crore Customers with more than 3.85 Crore customer accounts across these three states and three UTs.
Sh. Jaiswal joined State Bank of India service as Probationary Officer in 1991 and has held important positions in various fields in the Bank in his illustrious career of 31 years. Prior to joining Chandigarh Circle, he was posted as General Manager in Chennai Circle. Sh. Jaiswal took over charge from Shri. Anukool Bhatnagar, who retired from the Bank’s service after attaining superannuation on 30.06.2022.
Chandigarh Circle is the largest of 17 Circles of SBI pan India and has a deposit base of Rs 268245 Cr. and loans of Rs 96758 Cr., having market share of 23.40 % in deposits and 18.13% in advances as on 31 March 2022. SBI is the leading Bank of country for Banking Technology, Financial Inclusion and largest Customer base.
In his first message to the staff after joining the Circle, Sh. Jaiswal emphasised upon upholding the Bank’s Core values of Service, Transparency, Ethics, Politeness and Sustainability and delivering exemplary Customer service.
