Chandigarh, September 3:Sanjay Tandon, National Executive Member of BJP and co-incharge of Himachal, visited the Minerva Academy and School in Daon village, Mohali. He also reviewed the gymnasium, physiotherapy room, swimming pool, and football field. During his visit, he praised the state-of-the-art facilities at the academy.

Sanjay Tandon stated that academies play a crucial role in connecting youth with sports. Not only do they train young athletes, but they also instill the drive to advance. This drive contributes to winning medals for the country.

Addressing young footballers from across the country, he said that training at a young age and progressing is an inspiring experience, which also attracts other youth towards sports.

He mentioned that the UTCA is working on honing sports talents in Chandigarh. Additionally, the street cricket initiative is proving to be highly significant, as it is bringing forward talented young players. Minerva Academy's director, Ranjit Bajaj, presented Sanjay Tandon with a memento and the coffee table book "Street Cricket-2023 at a Glance."
