Mahendragarh , 14.10.24-A Ten-Day Capacity Building program for the social science faculty was inaugurated by Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh on Monday. This program, to be organized by the Physical Education and Sports Department of the University till October 25, is sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Delhi. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar congratulated the organizers for organizing the program. Prof. Shalini Singh from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak was present as the chief guest in the inaugural session.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said in his address that CUH is doing better in every field. More than 85 academic programs are being run in the University. Along with this, we are constantly doing better in research and innovation. The Vice Chancellor said that new tools should be used for quality and socially useful research. The Vice Chancellor said that today is the time of technology and there are more than 35 research related software available in technology. He said that the teacher should always focus on research. In the inaugural session of the program, the chief guest Prof. Shalini Singh said that in today's time we should do research related to behavior and while doing research we should always keep human values in mind. She said that there are immense possibilities in research today. Prof. Shalini Singh said that the better a teacher is in research, the more likely he is to move ahead.
Dr. Praveen Kumar, Course Director and Dr. Kumar P, Assistant Director told that 30 Assistant Professors from various educational institutions of the country are participating in this program. Of these, 10 are participating from Central University of Haryana, 10 from other institutions of Haryana state and 10 assistant professors from different parts of the country. On this occasion, Dean of School of Education and Sports, Prof. Ravindra Pal Ahlawat said that the University has various necessary resources for the all-round development of students, whether it is computer lab, world-class research journal, software or gym and playground etc. On this occasion, Head of the Department, Prof. J.P. Bhukkar welcomed all the participants and said that under this program, 18 experts from different parts of the country will give lectures. Along with this, field visits will also be organized. In the inaugural session of the program, Dean Academics of the University Prof. Sanjiv Kumar, Prof. Pramod Kumar, Dr. Kamaraj Sindhu, Dr. Jitendra, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Sandeep, Dr. Gajendra Nain and faculty members from various departments were also present.
