Action against Obstructing the public path
A Case FIR No. 13 u/s 285 BNS has been registered at Police Station-11 against Kumar Pal R/o Indra Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, who was arrested on 11-02-2025 at about 3:00 PM from SCO No. 9-10, Sector-11, Chandigarh, for obstructing the public path by installing a rehri on the road. The accused was arrested and later bailed out.
A Case FIR No. 20 u/s 285 BNS has been registered at Police Station-17 on the complaint of Mahesh Sharma, Pradhan of Shaheed Market, Sector-23, Chandigarh, against Rajesh Kumar R/o Sector-22/C, Chandigarh. He was arrested on 11-02-2025 at about 8:00 PM for obstructing the public path by installing a rehri on the road. The accused was arrested and later bailed out.
A Case FIR No. 20 u/s 285 BNS has been registered at Police Station-Maloya against Raj Kumar R/o Maloya Colony, Chandigarh, aged 40 years. The accused was arrested on 11-02-2025 at about 9:00 PM near Government School, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh, for parking his auto on the road, causing inconvenience to the public. The accused was arrested and later bailed out.
One arrested under Arms Act
A Case FIR No. 17 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station-Mauli Jagran, Sector-24, against Shri Niwas @ Shiva R/o Daria, Chandigarh, aged 24 years. The accused was arrested on 11-02-2025 at about 5:30 PM from Sunder Nagar, Part-2, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, and a kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused is currently in police lock-up.
Four arrested NDPS Act
A Case FIR No. 15 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station-Sarangpur against Damanpreet Singh, Amandeep Singh, Sunny, and Jagtar Singh. The accused were arrested from Sabji Mandi, Dhanas, Chandigarh, on 11-02-2025 for consuming drugs. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A Case FIR No. 20 u/s 125(A), 281 BNS has been registered at Police Station-26 on the complaint of Parminder Singh R/o Sector-29, Chandigarh, against an unknown auto driver who sped away after hitting the complainant’s mother, Paramjit Kaur, on the Sector-28/29 dividing road on 09-02-2025 at about 8:00 PM. The injured was admitted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
A Case FIR No. 23 u/s 305(2), 331(4), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station-39 on the complaint of multiple complainants. Manish Bansal R/o Gulmohar Complex, Kharar, reported a theft of ₹1,55,000/- and documents from SCO No. 147, Sector-40/C, Chandigarh. Lalit Gujral, owner of Booth No. 256, Sector-40/D, Chandigarh, reported a theft of ₹15,000/-. Sahib Singh, another owner of Booth No. 256, Sector-40/D, Chandigarh, reported stolen medicines from his booth.The thefts occurred on the intervening night of 10-11 February 2025 after breaking the locks. Investigation of the case is in progress.
