MAHENDERGARH, 26.01.25-The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the University, first saluted the brave soldiers at Vidya Veerta Sthal located in the academic block three of the University. After this, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar unfurled the flag. On this occasion, he wished the faculty members, employees and students a Happy Republic Day. The Vice Chancellor said on this occasion that the common man is at the center of the Indian Constitution made under the leadership of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. This Constitution is the basis of the manpower and people's power of the country. The Indian Constitution is threaded together the Indians in the thread of equality, unity and integrity. On this occasion, the first woman of the University, Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Examination Controller Prof. Rajiv Kaushik and Dean Academics Prof. Sanjiv Kumar and Dean Student Welfare Prof. Anand Sharma were present in a dignified manner.

In his address, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that Republic Day is a day of pride for all Indians. On this day we got our Constitution, which tells us how our country should be run. It is this Constitution that binds the citizens of India together. The Constitution is the document that tells about the rights and duties of the citizens of the country. On this day, we remember the sacrifices of those brave people who fought for the independence of our country and contributed to making India a republic. The Vice Chancellor said that it is the citizens of the country who make it great, so when you become great, only then the country will become great. India is a great nation and it is the result of the actions and behaviour of the citizens of the country. Today is the time to eliminate poverty, malnutrition, illiteracy and make a significant contribution in space science, artificial intelligence and research. Recalling former President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, the Vice Chancellor inspired everyone to dream and make them come true. In his address, the Vice Chancellor mentioned science, technology as well as India's spiritual and cultural heritage and described the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj as a symbol of India's historical heritage.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that the University is moving on the path of continuous progress. In the efforts necessary to achieve the goals set in the National Education Policy-2020, the University has made its mark as an excellent centre of research, innovation, study and teaching this year. He informed that the University has received a grant of Rs 273.47 crore for the development of resources. Along with this, the development of sports facilities is continuing. The Vice Chancellor expressed happiness over the University being awarded the University of the Year (Emerging) 2024 by FICCI and called it the result of the efforts of University teachers, students and other participants. He said that the resolution of a developed India in 2047 can be fulfilled only by achieving excellence in continuous study and skills.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the soldiers, farmers and intellectuals of the country and inspired everyone to contribute to the progress of India. The stage of the program was conducted by Dr. Neeraj Karan Singh. In the event, the students of the University gave various patriotic presentations. Among them, Mansi Chaudhary, Amarraj, Kajal, Rabin, Khushi Arora, Pawan Yadav, M. Shraddha, Parul, Ravi Yadav, Kul Singh, Meghram Singh gave presentations. In the same sequence, on behalf of the teachers and employees of the University and their families, Sanvika Vij, Avnya Santosh, Bhagyashree and Shankar enthralled the audience with their presentations.

During the event, the continuous Surya Namaskar performed by the Yoga Department and the music band of the University became the center of attraction. At the end of the program, the Dean Student Welfare of the University, Prof. Anand Sharma expressed his gratitude. On this occasion, the Deans of various schools, Head of the Departments, teachers, officers and employees participated.
