Chandigarh 09.07.2025: State Bank of India Staff Association (SBISA) is an association that protects the rights of its Award Staff, i.e., Clerical and Subordinate Staff. SBISA was formed on 9th July 1920 and has completed its 105 years of existence and preservance today. Sh. Iqbal Singh Malhi, General Secretary, SBISA Chandigarh Circle organised a Tree Plantation drive at Sector 53 Chandigarh where the members participated joyfully early in the morning and planted 106 floral trees.
The team then distributed flowers and sweets to all staff members posted at Bank's Local Head Office at Sector 17 Chandigarh and spread the positivity among the staff.
In the evening, Sh. Malhi organised a meeting of comrades at Sood Bhawan Sector 44 Chandigarh to celebrate the Foundation Day program. During the event, SBISA hoisted it's Flag and honored its retired comrades who took this Association to such a level where all it's members feel safe and secured.
Sh. Iqbal Singh Malhi donated a cheque of Rs.2.00 lakhs to Poor People Welfare Fund maintained at PGI and Armed Forces Flag Day Fund . All the comrades felt proud in celebrating the Foundation Day with social causes like Donation and Tree Plantation drive.
