Energy Minister Anil Vij slams Rahul Gandhi over his ‘Hydrogen Bomb’ remark

“Rahul Gandhi is the first leader to irresponsibly talk about dropping a hydrogen bomb on his own country” – Anil Vij

“Negativity has so overwhelmed Rahul Gandhi that even his vocabulary has turned negative” – Vij

Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today strongly condemned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent press conference remarks referring to a “hydrogen bomb,” calling him highly irresponsible and against the national interest.

While intracting with media persong today, Sh. Vij said that “As Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi has every right to hold press conferences and present his views. However, the kind of negative vocabulary he is using is completely inappropriate. Using terms like ‘hydrogen bomb’ and ‘atom bomb’ in the national context can create fear and confusion among citizens. It is the opposition’s duty to question government policies, but such statements do not serve the nation’s interest.”

The Energy Minister further said that instead of resorting to sensational language, Rahul Gandhi should present concrete evidence to support his allegations. “Negativity has so overwhelmed Rahul Gandhi that even his vocabulary has turned negative. This is why, instead of using constructive language, he continues to use terms that hurt the country,” Vij remarked.

Sh. Vij also reiterated his stance on his official X handle (formerly Twitter), writing: “‘raahul gaandhee jee vishv ke pahale aise raajaneta hain jo apane hee desh mein etam bam aur haidrojan bam giraane kee bhaavana rakhate hain . aap ko patrakaar vaarta mein kuchh bhee baat rakhane ka adhikaar hai. yadi aapakee bhaavana achchhee hai to aap isee baat ke lie koee aur shabdaavalee istemaal kar sakate the parantu hakeekat yah hai ki aap par nakaaraatmakata itanee haavee ho chukee hai ki na aap achchha sochate hain aur na hee achchha bolate hain’’.
It is noteworthy that Rahul Gandhi had recently stated in a press conference, “The truth about vote theft is about to be revealed to the entire country. An atom bomb is big, but a hydrogen bomb is bigger—and it’s coming.” Earlier, on August 7 and September 11, he had also claimed that his party would soon present “dynamic explosive proof” regarding allegations of vote theft.

The government is also considering the provision of individual smart meters in housing societies.

While intracting with media persons today in Chandigarh, Sh. Vij said that electricity consumers will be offered both prepaid and postpaid options. “Just like mobile connections where consumers can choose between prepaid and postpaid, electricity meters will also provide this flexibility to households,” he explained.

The Minister highlighted that power defaulters in the state owe approximately Rs. 7,500 crore in outstanding electricity bills. He said that earlier directions were issued to Superintending Engineers and senior officers to ensure prompt recovery. “I had made it clear that a review meeting would be held within three months to assess progress. During a recent meeting of North Indian Energy Ministers, Sh. Vij presented this proposal, which received appreciation from ministers and officers alike.

Sh. Vij said that “If the total electricity load of a village is calculated and a solar power house of the same capacity is established, villages can become self-reliant in power. This will also make electricity more affordable, as solar power is cost-effective.”

He noted that a Panchayat in Ambala has already offered land for setting up a solar power house. Sh. Vij expressed confidence that the central government will soon introduce a concrete policy to support this initiative.

“Negativity dominates Rahul Gandhi’s rhetoric, which is why he keeps talking about atom bombs and hydrogen bombs” – Haryana Energy Minister Anil Vij

“It is Congress’s secret policy to attack democratic institutions” – Vij

Chandigarh, September 18 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent press conference on alleged “vote theft,” saying that Rahul Gandhi is perhaps the first leader in the world who repeatedly talks about dropping atom bombs and hydrogen bombs on his own country. “This reflects his deeply negative mindset. In a democracy, everyone has the right to question the government and hold press conferences, but using terms like ‘atom bomb’ and ‘hydrogen bomb’ only spreads fear and confusion among the public,” Vij added.

Responding to media queries in Chandigarh, the Minister said that had Rahul Gandhi’s ideology been positive, he could have chosen more appropriate words. “Instead, he makes sensational statements to scare people. Lacking positivity, he issues one negative statement after another, misleading the people,” he said.

Referring to the recent political developments in Karnataka, Vij said Rahul Gandhi’s approach was nothing but disruptive. “His idea that resignations should be given and fresh elections held again is against the very spirit of democratic traditions,” Vij pointed out.

Lashing out at the Congress party’s functioning, the Minister said that weakening democratic institutions has been its “hidden policy.” “Congress has consistently attacked institutions like the ED, CBI, and Election Commission because of its authoritarian mindset. History bears witness that Congress trampled democracy underfoot, snatched away people’s rights, and imposed restrictions on the press. That is why the party repeatedly questions and undermines democratic institutions,” he asserted.
