Ludhiana 14 January 2026-The Placement Cell, College of Animal Biotechnology of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana organized an expert lecture on “Biotechnology Careers Abroad: Navigation, Skills, Standards, and Expectations” to guide students aspiring for international research and industry careers.

Dr. Kirtypal Singh, Postdoctoral Fellow, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Alberta, Canada provided a clear and realistic overview of opportunities available to biotechnology students in the global arena. He outlined academic and professional pathways to enter international biotech ecosystems, highlighting essential technical skills, research productivity benchmarks, and the expectations of overseas universities, laboratories, and biotech companies. He also shared practical insights on strategically building competitive CVs, publications, and training profiles to remain competitive internationally.

Dr JPS Gill, Vice Chancellor, congratulated the Placement Cell and the College for organizing such forward-looking initiatives, noting that programmes of this nature are fully aligned with the university’s agenda of preparing students for global academic and professional opportunities. He emphasized that systematic exposure to international standards, research culture, and career expectations is essential for enabling students to compete successfully at the global level .
