Chandigarh’s Pride in Khaki: Mayor Joshi Felicitates DGP Hooda on National Recognition
Chandigarh, 24.02.26- :In a proud moment for the City Beautiful, the Hon’ble Mayor of Chandigarh, Sh. Saurabh Joshi, felicitated Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda, IPS, DGP, UT Chandigarh, on being conferred the prestigious President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service — one of the highest honours in Indian policing.
Dr. Hooda received the distinguished medal from the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah ji, during the 79th Raising Day celebrations of the Delhi Police in New Delhi.
On the occasion, Mayor Saurabh Joshi congratulated Dr. Hooda for his exemplary leadership, integrity, and outstanding service to the nation. He stated that this recognition brings immense pride not only to Chandigarh Police but to every citizen of Chandigarh.
The Mayor Joshi also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah ji, for recognising and honouring distinguished officers who uphold the highest standards of dedication and public service.
