CHANDIGARH, 24.03.26-The 27th National Deaf Senior Sports Championship and 10th National Deaf Sub Junior & Junior Sports Championship concluded in Chandigarh's Sector 38 Sports Complex. Organized by Punjab Deaf & Dumb Sports Association and Deaf Sports Association of Chandigarh, under All India Sports Council of the Deaf, the event saw participation from 20 states across India.
The five-day championship featured 246 athletes, coaches, and managers competing in various sports disciplines. The event promoted camaraderie, excellence, and equal opportunities, highlighting the importance of inclusive sports platforms.
Chief Guest Dr. Rupesh Singh, Head, Corporate Affairs, Adani Group,praised the athletes' spirit and organizers' efforts. He emphasized the need for inclusive sports, empowering differently-abled individuals to excel nationally and internationally.
The championship concluded with a felicitation ceremony, honouring winners, participants, and organizers. With 20 teams and numerous medals at stake, the event showcased remarkable talent, resilience, and unity, making it a successful and memorable sporting event.
