Chandigarh, April 26:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh intensified its enforcement drive against unauthorized commercial activities across the city today.

A special operation was carried out at the Car Bazaar in Sector 13 Manimajra, where 9 cars being sold without prior permission were impounded on the spot for violating municipal norms.

In continuation, a late evening drive was conducted in Raipur Khurd village targeting illegal street vending. During the drive, 15 unauthorized vendors were removed, their goods impounded, and challans issued as per the provisions of the Municipal Act.

Such drives are being conducted regularly to ensure compliance with regulations, maintain public order, and keep market areas free from encroachments. The Municipal Corporation reiterated its commitment to strict enforcement and appealed to citizens and vendors to adhere to prescribed rules and obtain necessary permissions before carrying out any commercial activity.
