Mahendergarh, April 25: The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh has achieved a significant milestone by securing 2nd position in Haryana and 22nd rank at the national level in the EducationWorld India Higher Education Rankings (EWIHER) 2026–27 under the category of Government Multidisciplinary Universities.
The award was conferred at a function held on April 25, 2026, at The Grand, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. On behalf of the University, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma (Pro-Vice-Chancellor) and Prof. Surender Singh (Director, IQAC) received the award. The honour was presented by Dr. Joe D. May, Dallas College (USA) and Mr. David Das, CEO, UWAS India Operations.
The EducationWorld rankings are among the most comprehensive higher education assessments in India, based on field interviews with over 2,100 knowledgeable stakeholders across the country.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar congratulated the university fraternity and stated, “This achievement reflects the collective efforts of our faculty, students, and staff. We remain committed to strengthening quality, innovation, and excellence in all academic and institutional processes.”
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma remarked, “Securing the 22nd rank at the national level is a matter of great pride. It highlights our continuous progress in academic quality, research, and institutional development. We will strive to achieve even higher benchmarks in the coming years.”
The Registrar Prof. Suneel Kumar noted, “This recognition underscores the efficiency and dedication of our academic and administrative systems. We will continue to work diligently to further enhance the university’s standing at the national level.”
Director, IQAC Prof. Surender Singh stated that the achievement is a result of the university’s quality-driven policies and robust data management practices, which play a crucial role in improving performance in national rankings.
The recognition marks an important milestone in CUH’s journey towards academic excellence and reinforces its commitment to continuous quality enhancement.
