Chandigarh Police arrested Sagar R/o # 857, DMC, Chandigarh from near Dadumajra Bridge on 05-05-2026 along with an auto and recovered 20 boxes of country made and English wine from his possession A Case FIR No. 52 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Sarangpur Chandigarh later on the accused person was bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 66 U/S 318(4), 351(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-36 Chandigarh on the complaint of Girl R/o # Guru Nanak Vihar Sector-48 Chandigarh against owner of m/s Smart Choice Immigration Consultants SCO No. 411-412, Sector-35/C Chandigarh who cheated complainant for Rs 1,00,000/- on the pretext to sent her abroad. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Pankaj R/o Jhuggi No. 516, Sector-25 Chandigahr from mandi ground Sector-56 Chandigarh on 06-05-2026 and recovered one kamanidar knife from his possession A Case FIR No. 69 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-39 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Wrongful restraint

A case FIR No. 67 U/S 126(2), 329(3), 351(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-36 Chandigarh on the complaint of lady R/O # Sector-43/A Chandigarh against Gurbakshish Singh and Daughter in Law they have taken possession of two rooms in complainant’s house and locked their rooms.
