One arrested under Excise Act
A Case FIR No. 53 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-03, Chandigarh against Narinder Singh Rawat S/o Partap Singh R/o House No. 707, Adarsh Nagar, Naya Gaon, Mohali (PB), aged 42 years, who was apprehended from SCO No. 55-56, Basement, Sector-9, Chandigarh on 29.05.2026 while allegedly serving whisky in a club. Police recovered five bottles of liquor from his possession. The accused was arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under Arms Act
A Case FIR No. 61 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Mani Majra, Chandigarh against Sarvesh @ Shavej S/o Mohd. Sahid R/o House No. 829, Mata Raj Kaur Mohalla, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, aged 24 years, who was apprehended near BSNL Office, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 29.05.2026 and found in possession of one prohibited sharp-edged knife (Kamanidar knife). The accused has been lodged in police lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 88 u/s 318(2), 62, 61(2), 309(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Amit Kumar Wahii R/o House No. 2084/1, Sector-45, Chandigarh, aged 50 years against Ankit and three others, who allegedly snatched cash amounting to Rs. 17,50,000/-, ATM cards, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card and SBI cheque book from the complainant near Lake, Sector-42, Chandigarh on 29.05.2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 79 u/s 406, 420 IPC has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Mohan Antony Vaid, C/o M/s DPS Antibiotics Branch, Plot No. 129, Village Makhan Majra, Chandigarh against Adil Latif Khan, Proprietor of M/s Incredible Medicare, Shop No. 1, Village Jai Singhpura, Sector-27, Panchkula (HR), who allegedly cheated the complainant of Rs. 88,66,520/- in connection with the purchase of pharmaceutical raw material. Investigation of the case is in progress.
