Chandigarh04.07.26-: Four suspended contractual employees of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) have been reinstated, following sustained efforts by the Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh. To express their gratitude, members of the PGI Contract Workers Union, Security Guard Contract Workers Union and Electrical Contract Workers Union, under the leadership of Ashwini Kumar Munjal, visited the BJP Chandigarh State Office, Kamalam, where they warmly felicitated BJP Chandigarh State President Jitender Pal Malhotra by presenting him with a flower garland and bouquet.
The union representatives said that the suspension had pushed the families of the four employees into severe financial and emotional hardship. They stated that Jitender Pal Malhotra took up the matter with utmost seriousness, consistently pursued it with the concerned authorities and made sincere efforts to ensure justice for the affected workers. As a result of these persistent efforts, all four contractual employees were reinstated to their jobs.
Expressing their appreciation, the union members said the reinstatement has restored hope and confidence among contractual workers and demonstrated that genuine public representatives stand firmly with employees during difficult times.
On the occasion, Jitender Pal Malhotra said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has always remained committed to protecting the rights and dignity of workers and employees. He emphasized that the party would continue to stand with every section of society and ensure that no employee suffers injustice.
The union representatives described the reinstatement as a victory of justice and humanitarian values. They thanked Jitender Pal Malhotra for his commitment and leadership and expressed confidence that he would continue to safeguard the interests of employees in the future as well.
