One person arrested in NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Ravinder Singh R/o # 308 Village Kajheri Chandigarh from the dirty drain turn towards Village Kajheri on 14.07.2026 and recovered 11 grams Heroin from his possession. A Case FIR No 110 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Theft

A Case fir No 77 U/S 305(E), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 03 Chandigarh on the complaint of Naveen Rattu, Director Culture, Sector 10 Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away heritage furniture stencil marking slmb from Govt. Institution Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Disobedience to lawful orders issued by public Servants

A Case FIR No 96 U/S 223 BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 17 Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Rambir Singh against Amandeep Singh R/o # 23/B Simran Apartment, Baltana Zirakpur Punjab, Harvinder Singh R/o # 40, Sarangpur Chandigarh, Lovepreet Singh and others persons taxi driver union protesters gathered without permission at Sector 22/23/16/17 Chowk Chandigarh raised slogans with banners violated prohibitory order and obstructed public movement. They ignored police direction and they continued protesting and violated prohibitory orders issued by the district magistrate Chandigarh. During the investigation all accused (total 11) were arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.
