CHANDIGARH, 26.08.26-Government College of Engineering (GCE 20) organized a one-hour educational session on “Digital Wellness, Mental Health & Cyber Security.” The programme commenced with the welcome of the resource persons, Rajyoga Teacher BK Seema Didi and BK Himanshi Didi of the Brahma Kumaris Organisation, by Principal Dr. Sapna Nanda. In her address, Dr. Nanda emphasized the importance of digital responsibility, cyber awareness, and mental well-being among students in today’s technology-driven world and appreciated the initiative.
During the session, BK Seema Didi and BK Himanshi Didi shared valuable insights on digital wellness, mental health, and cyber security. They explained how excessive dependence on technology can affect peace of mind, concentration, and emotional well-being while also increasing vulnerability to cyber threats. The speakers sensitized students about safe and responsible use of digital platforms, cybercrime prevention, balanced digital habits, and the importance of meditation and mindfulness in maintaining mental health and improving focus in the digital age.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively interacted with the resource persons through questions and discussions. The programme created awareness about responsible digital behaviour, cyber safety, and the need to maintain a healthy balance between technology and personal well-being.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Meena, Coordinator, Cyber Swachhata Mission Unit. The organising committee members included Mrs. Sonika Devi and Ms. Khushi Rawat, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the session.
