One arrested under Arms Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Pawan Kumar Das @Tunda R/o H. No. 385, Kachi Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh, from a kachha rasta near Beat Box Khuda Lahora and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 74 dated 02.09.2026 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One arrested in Theft

A case FIR No. 127 dated 02.09.2026 u/s 305(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Sikander Alam R/o H. No. 66, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, against an unknown person. The accused allegedly stole a purse containing ₹500/-, Aadhaar card, visiting card, Vivo mobile phone and one gas cylinder from the complainant's house on 02.09.2026. During investigation, the accused person Rishi @ Arjun R/o 1161/b Indira Colony Sector-17 pkl was arrested . Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 82 dated 02.09.2026 u/s 305 & 331(4) BNS has been registered at Police Station Mani majra, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Arun Kumar R/o H. No. 862, Sector-17, Panchkula, Haryana, against an unknown person the accused allegedly stole cash amounting to 1 lakh, PAN card and Aadhaar card from the complainant's shop at Shop No. 122, Old Ropar Road, Mani majra, Chandigarh, on 06.08.2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cyber Cheating

A case FIR No. 150 dated 02.09.2026 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2) & 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Cyber Crime, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Kulbir Singh Pahwa R/o H. No. 712, Sector-8B, Chandigarh, against an unknown person. The accused cheated the complainant of ₹1,30,000/- on the pretext of providing a free credit card. Investigation of the case is in progress.
