Chandigarh, September 7, 2026-A preparatory meeting was held today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, U.T. Chandigarh, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, to review the arrangements for the Samadhan Shivir being organised under the guidance of Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh.

The Samadhan Shivir will be held on September 11, 2026, at the Community Centre near Shivalik Garden, Manimajra, Chandigarh. During the Shivir, the Hon’ble Administrator will interact directly with citizens and hear their grievances concerning various departments and public services.

To facilitate the advance receipt, examination and effective redressal of grievances, designated officials from the Municipal Corporation, Health Department, Engineering Department, Police, Labour Department, Elections Department, Education Department, Estate Office and Chandigarh Housing Board will be deputed at the venue from September 8, 2026.

The officials will receive grievances and representations from citizens, enabling the departments concerned to examine the issues and prepare action-oriented responses for consideration during the Shivir. The initiative aims to ensure the timely redressal of public grievances through coordinated departmental action.

The Police, Engineering Department, Health Department and Municipal Corporation have also been directed to ensure adequate manpower and logistical support for the smooth conduct of the Shivir. Citizens are encouraged to avail themselves of this opportunity and submit their grievances in advance from 8th September at the designated venue.
