👉🏻 Withdraw FIRs registered against Ludhiana industrialists: Anil Sareen
👉🏻 Long power cuts have caused heavy losses to industrialists: Anil Sareen
Ludhiana/Chandigarh, October 3:Punjab BJP State General Secretary Anil Sareen strongly condemned the registration of a case by the police against industrialists and traders of Ludhiana and demanded that the FIR be withdrawn immediately.
Speaking to reporters here today, he said that industrialists and traders had staged a protest against the continuous power cuts lasting 8 to 10 hours, but instead of accepting their demands, the AAP government had registered cases against around 250 industrialists and traders, thereby subjecting them to injustice.
BJP Ludhiana president, Dyeing Association leader and BJP district unit treasurer Bobby Jindal, district general secretaries Senu Chugh and Kailash Chaudhary, along with Mahesh and Satish, were also present on the occasion.
Sareen said that before coming to power, Kejriwal had promised to provide 24-hour and affordable electricity to the trade and industrial sectors. However, he said that now the AAP government was imposing prolonged power cuts, while the voices of industrialists and traders protesting against the situation were being suppressed through an authoritarian approach.
Sareen said that the Punjab BJP stands with industrialists and traders and would not allow any trader to be harassed. Raising questions over the deteriorating law-and-order situation in Punjab, he said that the industry's migration from the state was taking place due to such policies of the AAP government.
He demanded that the government immediately withdraw the FIRs registered against industrialists and traders and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to the industry without prolonged power cuts.

👉🏻 Drug menace continues unabated in Punjab, AAP government has completely failed to curb the menace: Kewal Singh Dhillon
👉🏻 Instead of taking action, AAP government is confined to mere statements and publicity: Kewal Singh Dhillon
Chandigarh, October 3-The drug problem in Punjab is continuously becoming more serious, and the Aam Aadmi Party government has completely failed to control it. This was stated by Punjab BJP State President Kewal Singh Dhillon while expressing serious concern over the drug-related incidents being reported from across Punjab.
He said that the death of two young sons from the same family in the Sunam Assembly constituency after falling prey to drug abuse is an extremely tragic and heartbreaking incident. The fact that two young members of one family have lost their lives to ‘chitta’ is clear evidence that drugs continue to be a major and serious problem in Punjab.
He said that, similarly, the sighting of a young woman in a drugged condition in Bathinda city is even more concerning. After young men, the increasing involvement of young women in drug abuse is a major warning sign for the state. Instead of treating this serious situation merely as an issue of political rhetoric, the government should take concrete and effective action.
Dhillon questioned the government and said that it has failed to break the drug supply chain and take action against major drug smugglers. He said that instead of fulfilling its responsibility, the government has confined itself to hollow statements and publicity. He said that no one had imagined that the slogan of change promised by the Aam Aadmi Party to Punjab would prove to be so costly for the people of the state.
Dhillon said that the BJP is fully committed to making Punjab drug-free. With this objective, the BJP also undertook a 13-day ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra’ (Drug-Free Punjab March) across the state, through which people were mobilized against drugs and a resolve was taken to make Punjab drug-free.
He said that Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has also expressed a resolve to take concrete action within the stipulated timeframe to eliminate drugs from Punjab and has announced that, if the BJP forms the government in Punjab, the state will be made drug-free. He said that the people of Punjab now understand that slogans, advertisements and political statements alone are not enough to tackle a serious problem like drug abuse. There is a need for strict legal action, an effective campaign against drug smugglers, rehabilitation facilities for youth, and creation of employment opportunities.
He said that the BJP is fully committed to making Punjab drug-free and that the people of Punjab have complete faith in the BJP in this fight against drugs. He said that there can be no compromise with the future of Punjab’s youth and coming generations.
