One arrested in Murder case
A Case FIR No. 174 u/s 103(1), 191(2), 191(3), 190, 115(2), 351(3) BNS has been registered at Police Station 39 on the complaint of the juveniles against a boy aged 17 years and others. The accused allegedly attacked the complainant's friends with swords, daggers and gandashis, and threatened them near Radha Market, Sec-41, Chandigarh, on 15-10-2026 at about 10:30 PM. One juvenile sustained injuries and was admitted to GH-16 where he was declared dead by the duty doctor. During the investigation one accused was arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested consuming liquor at public place
A Case FIR No. 129 u/s 68(1)(b) PP Act & 355 BNS has been registered at Police Station 26 against Rahul R/o #5709, PH-1, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh, aged 27 years. The accused was apprehended from Transport Area Parking, Sec-26, Chandigarh, on 15-10-2026 at about 09:45 PM, while drinking liquor and creating nuisance at a public place. The accused was arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Four arrested under Arms Act
A Case FIR No. 174 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran on the complaint of HC Parveen Kumar 6261/CP, against Subham S/o Dilip Singh, R/o #1055, Ramdarbar, PH-1, Chandigarh, aged 25 years. The accused was apprehended near Sant Nirankari Bhawan, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, on 16-10-2026 at about 12:05 AM, and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 111 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Manimajra against Deepak @ Awesome R/o #2343, New Indra Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh, aged 30 years. The accused was apprehended near Sadhana Vocational Training Center, Manimajra, Chandigarh, on 16-10-2026 at about 08:50 PM, and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 173 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran against Lalan Kumar Pal @ Juicer R/o #412, CS Colony, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, aged 23 years. The accused was apprehended near Sant Nirankari Bhawan, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, on 15-10-2026 at about 11:50 PM, and one Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 99 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area, against Atul R/o #1579/2, Sec-30/B, Chandigarh, aged 32 years. The accused was apprehended near Government Tubewell, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, on 16-10-2026 at about 09:40 PM, and a button-operated, spring-loaded knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to police lock-up.
Cheating
Case FIR No. 175 u/s 316(2), 318(4), 351(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station 39 on the complaint of Sh. Rohit S/o Sh. Ram Singh, R/o Village Kothe Premser, Tehsil Jagraon, District Ludhiana, Punjab, against Gurlal Dhaliwal, Prashant Sharma, Sandeep Sharma and employee/partner Navya, Office at SCO No. 65, 1st Floor, Sec-40/C, Chandigarh. The accused allegedly cheated the complainant of ₹9,00,000/- in connection with a visa and allegedly showed him fake and fabricated visa approval letters. When the complainant demanded a refund, the accused allegedly threatened to eliminate him if he pursued the matter further. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Voluntarily Causing Hurt
A Case FIR No. 98 u/s 115(2), 126(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area on the complaint of Kishan Pal S/o Fakeer Chand, R/o #1884, Sec-25, Chandigarh, against Sumit Mahajan S/o Kuldeep Chand, R/o #15/2, Subhash Nagar, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, aged 52 years. The accused allegedly abused and quarrelled with the complainant and his friend, Keshav Ram, and attacked them with a stick near Beat Box, Colony No. 4, Chandigarh, on 18-09-2026 at about 11:40 AM. Investigation of the case is in progress.
