Chandigarh, October 20: The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh informs residents that, due to the replacement of the existing 1200 mm diameter PSC pipeline (Phase-III) with an MS pipeline at Village Jhungian, a shutdown has been approved by the competent authority for October 22 and 23, 2026.

During this period, pumping of raw water from Phase-III, Kajauli, to the Water Works, Sector 39, Chandigarh, will remain suspended for 48 hours. Accordingly, the water supply schedule across Chandigarh on October 22 and 23, 2026, will be as follows:

October 22, 2026 (Thursday)

- Morning: 3:30 AM to 9:00 AM — Full pressure
- Evening: 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM — Low pressure

October 23, 2026 (Friday)

- Morning: 3:30 AM to 9:00 AM — Full pressure
- Evening: 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM — Low pressure

Residents are requested to store adequate water in advance and cooperate with the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh during the shutdown period.
