Chandigarh, October 27:- In a push to ensure a cleaner Chandigarh ahead of Diwali, Sh. Sanjay Arora, Chief Engineer, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, today inspected the dumping ground to review the progress of clearing the accumulated mixed waste and directed officials to expedite operations for its timely removal.

During the inspection, the Chief Engineer assessed the ongoing waste clearance operations and stressed the need to achieve the targeted disposal of the accumulated waste within the stipulated timeframe. He directed the concerned officials to ensure effective coordination, optimal deployment of machinery and manpower, and regular monitoring of the work to accelerate progress.

Emphasising the importance of maintaining cleanliness during the festive season, Sh. Sanjay Arora instructed the teams to work in a coordinated and time-bound manner so that the backlog of mixed waste is cleared at the earliest and the city’s sanitation arrangements remain efficient.

The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh is intensifying its efforts to speed up waste clearance operations and strengthen sanitation management ahead of Diwali. The initiative aims to improve cleanliness and ensure a healthier environment for residents during the festive period.
