CHANDIGARH, 07.07.26-Some of the most valuable lessons are learnt when students are encouraged to explore, create and lead beyond the classroom. Embracing this philosophy, St. Joseph's Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh, successfully organised Summer Internship Programme 3.0 under the aegis of the Student Well-Being Policy Council from 1st to 5th June 2026. The brainchild of Principal Ms. Monica Chawla, the five-day programme offered students a unique opportunity to strengthen their emotional well-being, creativity, collaboration and leadership through a series of thoughtfully designed experiences.

The programme commenced with interactive sessions based on Martin Seligman's PERMA Model, encouraging students to reflect on emotional well-being, academic challenges, digital habits and healthy peer relationships. Building on these discussions, participants channelled their ideas into creative environmental awareness campaigns through e-posters, podcasts, reels and an original rap composition, which will feature in the school's forthcoming Green Impact Calendar 2026–27.

Adding an artistic dimension to the internship, the Creative Corners Crew transformed the Chess, Boxing and Taekwondo corridors through airbrushing, creating vibrant murals that celebrate discipline, perseverance and sportsmanship. The programme also featured a policy presentation session where students confidently shared practical recommendations to strengthen student well-being, including the revival of the Anti-Bullying Squad, the introduction of an Anonymous Heavy Feelings Box, measures to reduce the burden of heavy school bags and enhanced indoor sports facilities during the monsoon season. Their thoughtful suggestions reflected the confidence and sense of responsibility the programme sought to nurture.

The internship concluded with peer reflections, individual certificate presentations and a warm farewell, marking the successful completion of a week filled with learning, creativity and personal growth.

The School Management Members appreciated the wholehearted efforts of the Student Well-Being Policy Council, mentors and students in making the programme a meaningful success. The Management reaffirmed its belief in providing learning experiences that encourage young minds to think independently, work collaboratively and grow into responsible and compassionate individuals.

Appreciating the participants, the management members said, "It has been inspiring to witness our students embrace every opportunity with confidence, curiosity and sincerity. Their creativity, thoughtful ideas and willingness to take initiative reflect the spirit of learning we strive to nurture. I congratulate each participant for making this programme a truly rewarding experience."

Summer Internship Programme 3.0 once again reflected St. Joseph's Sr. Sec. School's commitment to creating opportunities that extend learning beyond academics. By encouraging students to express their ideas, embrace challenges and contribute meaningfully, the school continues to nurture confident, compassionate and future-ready individuals prepared to make a positive difference in society.
