Chandigarh,24.10.18-A senior wing NCC Air Wing cadet from Chandigarh has been selected to represent the country in the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) to Singapore.

Cadet Senior Under Officer Ankit, student of BSc final year in DAV College, Sector-10, daughter of a retired Havildar of Haryana Police and All India Best NCC Air wing Girl cadet 2018, is one among the handful of NCC cadets in the country to have been selected for the prestigious YEP to represent India.

This is the third time in a row that NCC Air Wing cadet of 1 Chandigarh Air Squadron NCC, Chandigarh, has been hand picked to represent India in the YEP, said Wing Commander M R Pandeya, the Commanding Officer of the unit.The programme at Singapore will commence on November 12 and will be till 21 November 2018.

As part of the programme, Cadet Ankit, along with the Indian contingent, will participate in various national events and meet dignitaries including the Prime Minister and Service Chiefs, as scheduled by the host country Singapore.

NCC Group Commander Chandigarh,Brigadier RS Thakur congratulated Cadet Ankit for her achievement.
