CHANDIGARH, 12.03.25-Ratik Kapur was awarded the degree of BALLB (Honours) at the 72nd Convocation of Panjab University, Chandigarh presided over by the President of India H.E. Smt. Droupadi Murmu on 12.03.2025.
The BALLB degree was awarded to Top Three ranked Students in the discipline of Law.
Ratik Kapur obtained 81.86% marks in the BALLB (Hons) Examination [as a student of University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS)] conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh in May, 2024. Earlier, Ratik Kapur got a CGPA of 10 out of 10 in the Matriculation Examination conducted by the CBSE in the year 2019, as a student of St John's High School, Sector 26, Chandigarh.
Ratik Kapur is now a practising Advocate at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh & the Supreme Court of India since July 2024. In addition to different Civil and Criminal Cases, Ratik Kapur has so far also successfully handled several Arbitration and Legal Aid cases.
He is now also on the panel of different reputed organisations.
Ratik Kapur is son of Ms Anu Chatrath, Senior Advocate & Additional Advocate General, Government of Punjab.
His father is a Professor of Strategic Management at the Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Ratik Kapur's maternal Grandfather Late Shri Gopal Krishan Chatrath was also a reputed lawyer who had also been designated as a Senior Advocate, and who had worked as Advocate General of the State of Punjab under the then Chief Minister Sardar Beant Singh, and earlier as an MLA in the Punjab Legislative Assembly having been elected from Batala, and as Dean, Faculty of Law, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
