Session Highlights:
1. Introduction to Statistics: Fundamentals and Case Studies
The day commenced with a session led by Dr. Arghya Chattopadhyay, where he provided a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of statistics. The interactive session included hands-on learning through case studies, engaging participants to understand statistical concepts in real-world clinical scenarios.
2. Essential Statistics: Principles and Practice
The morning continued with a detailed discussion on essential statistical principles. This session aimed to equip participants with the foundational knowledge required for effective data handling and interpretation in clinical trials.
3. Data Presentation and Analysis in Clinical Trials: The Aesthetic Intelligence
Mr. Braja Gopal Sahoo, Associate Director at Novartis India, delivered a session on data aesthetics, emphasizing the significance of clear and effective data presentation.
4. Sample Size in Clinical Trials: Principles and Hands-on Learning
A crucial aspect of clinical trial design, determining sample size, was covered by Prof. Suparna Chatterjee from IPGMER Kolkata. Participants were guided through the theoretical and practical hands-on sessions on calculating sample size, making the session both informative and engaging.
After a break for lunch, the workshop resumed with thought-provoking sessions in the afternoon:
5. Critical Appraisal of Published Literature
