Chandigarh, October 31 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the resolution set forth by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi to transform India into a developed nation by the year 2047 is a collective responsibility of the 140 crore people in the country, including the residents of Haryana. On the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary, he urged everyone to commit to this goal and work towards realizing Sardar Patel's vision. Haryana will make a significant contribution to realize the vision of Vikshit Bharat.

The Chief Minister was addressing participants of the Run for Unity at the state-level event held in Kurukshetra to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He paid floral tribute to Patel's portrait and honored his legacy. During the event, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of unity and integrity in India by actively participating in the Run for Unity.

He said that the great freedom fighter Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a visionary whose spirit resides in the hearts of the people. He expressed that the message of unity would resonate globally from the sacred land of Kurukshetra. The purpose of the Run for Unity is to enhance national unity and integrity. Today, National Unity Day is being observed across India in celebration of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 150th birth anniversary. The people of Haryana are also encouraged to step forward in this race for national unity and contribute to strengthening India's unity and integrity.

The Chief Minister said that we are all connected by the garland of unity. While our bodies and minds may differ, we are united in our efforts to strengthen the nation. Freedom fighter and Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made significant contributions to enhancing the unity and integrity of India. Remarkably, he merged 562 princely states without any discrimination or caste distinctions.

He said that Sardar Patel was a distinguished politician and administrator. His life exemplifies a commitment to the nation's interests and the resolution of its people's problems, ensuring that future generations can enjoy freedom. Sardar Patel played a crucial role in the freedom struggle and, after independence, undertook the unparalleled task of unifying the country.

Sh Nayab Singh Saini remarked that the Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi, has followed in the footsteps of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel by working to unite the nation through the removal of Sections 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir, thereby realizing Patel's vision of an Akhand Bharat. In tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Prime Minister inaugurated the world's tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, in Gujarat, which serves as an inspiration for the youth and all citizens.

The Chief Minister said that various programs will be organized over the next year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He emphasized the collective responsibility to fulfill the resolution set by the Prime Minister to maintain cleanliness across the country, state, city, locality, and village. Everyone must actively participate in this endeavor, as it is not a task for one individual alone, but a collective effort.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini also administered the oath of national unity to all attendees, encouraging them to strengthen the unity and integrity of India. During the event, the Chief Minister honored athletes who excelled in the Olympics and Asian Games.

He extended his greetings to everyone on the occasion of the Deepawali festival, Bhaiya Dooj, Govardhan Puja, Haryana Day, and other upcoming festivals, wishing them happiness and prosperity in their lives. The Run for Unity began and concluded at Dronacharya Stadium, following a route through Mini Secretariat, Panch Chowk, and Jindal Chowk.

Chandigarh, October 31 - Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today celebrated Diwali with the elderly and children by visiting Baba Bansivala Vridha Ashram and Sakshi Balkunj Ashram in Ladwa, Kurukshetra, on this festive occasion. He distributed sweets, shawls, and fruit baskets, wishing everyone a Happy Diwali.

The Chief Minister began his visit at Baba Bansivala Vridha Ashram, where he offered his respects. Speaking to the elderly, he expressed his joy in being with them and mentioned that he had come to seek their blessings. He said that Lord Sheei Rama returned to Ayodhya on this day, and Diwali is celebrated to commemorate this event. He also highlighted the grand temple of Shree Rama that has been constructed in Ayodhya, which is beautifully adorned for the festival.

On this occasion, he inquired about the accommodation and food arrangements for the elderly residents. During this interaction, some elderly individuals requested the Chief Minister's assistance in obtaining old age pensions and Ayushman cards. In response, the Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner, who was present, to take immediate action to address these issues.

The Chief Minister expressed that he felt fortunate to receive blessings from the elders on this auspicious festival.

After this, the Chief Minister visited Sakshi Balkunj Ashram in Ladwa, where he extended his blessings to the children living there and wished them a Happy Diwali. He encouraged the children to study with dedication and hard work, emphasizing that goals can only be achieved through perseverance. He also gathered information about the facilities provided to the children from the ashram's director, who mentioned that 15 children reside there and are receiving various forms of support.

The elderly and children expressed great joy at the Chief Minister's presence, noting that this was the first time a Chief Minister had visited them during Diwali to share in their festivities.

Following this, the Chief Minister went to Kisan Vishram Grih in Babain, where he wished BJP workers, officials, and other dignitaries a Happy Diwali.

Chandigarh, October 31 – On the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a "Run for Unity" event was held today at Laser Valley Ground in Sector 29 to promote national unity. Despite the Diwali holiday, enthusiastic youth participated in large numbers. Union Minister of Power, Housing, and Urban Affairs Mr. Manohar Lal was the chief guest, joined by Haryana's Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh and Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma.

The event began at 7 am, with over 10,000 runners taking an oath of national unity and participating in 5 and 10-kilometer races, reaffirming their commitment to the nation.

While addressing the runners at the marathon, Mr. Manohar Lal emphasized that the campaign launched by the Government of India in 2014 serves as a reminder of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's contributions to the political integration of independent India and his pivotal role in strengthening the country's unity and integrity. He highlighted that this day underscores the importance of unity in diversity, reflecting and appreciating the various aspects of Indian society, including its religions, languages, cultures, and traditions.

Mr. Manohar Lal said that despite the British's divisive tactics, Sardar Patel's greatest achievement was the unification of 562 princely states into the Indian Union. He asserted that Sardar Patel's efforts in establishing a united nation imbued with the spirit of nationalism will never be forgotten.

The Union Minister also mentioned that, after independence, the Indian people had concerns regarding Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that this issue has been resolved by Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Sh Amit Shah, in line with Sardar Patel's ideology, thereby re-establishing unity in the country.

The Union Minister appealed to the public to prioritize cleanliness, stating that the campaign initiated under the guidance of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi has transformed into a mass movement for the entire nation. He said that the message of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has instilled a sense of responsibility among citizens. With active participation in cleanliness efforts nationwide, Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a 'Swachh Bharat' is gradually becoming a reality. He urged citizens to make cleanliness a part of their nature and culture, encouraging them to engage others in this campaign. During the event, the Union Minister also administered the oath of national unity to those present.

In recognition of the remarkable achievements of Harsh Makdola and Lalit Bhondsi in the Run for Unity, ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena honored both runners by presenting them with tracksuits.
