Chandigarh, December 15 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini met representatives of Sain Samaj from across the state at his residence Sant Kabir Kutir here today. The Chief Minister said the government will celebrate the birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Shri Sain Ji Maharaj in a grand manner at the state level next year.

On this occasion, the delegation of Sain Samaj felicitated the Chief Minister. Regarding establishment of a dharamshala in Kurukshetra, the Chief Minister said this demand of the community will be fulfilled soon.

The Chief Minister said every eligible beneficiary is getting the benefit of the government schemes at home. He said along with developmental works, new welfare schemes are being made to benefit the citizens so that the state can be taken forward on the path of progress.

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has launched various public welfare schemes for the benefit of the poor in the last 10 years, the result of which is that people have expressed faith in those policies and formed the BJP government for the third time in the country and the state. He said the state government is working for the welfare of the people by following the Antyodaya philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Our government is moving ahead with Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas and Sabka Vishwas.

The Chief Minister said Sant Kabir Kutir is the place for all people, you can come here anytime, the doors are open 24 hours for everyone. He said we will live up to the faith that people have expressed in the government and will take Haryana forward on the path of development at a rapid pace.

*18-day Gita Paath and Havan Yagna conclude at International Gita Mahotsav: Upendra Singhal*

Chandigarh, December 15 - Honorary Secretary of Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) Sh. Upendra Singhal said that for the first time in International Gita Mahotsav, Gita Paath and Havan Yagna were organized on the ghats here for 18 days continuously.

These Havan Yagnas were concluded with complete 'Aahuti'. The echo of the teachings of these Havan Yagnas and Gita Paath was heard daily on the holy Brahma Sarovar. The important aspect is that these shlokas were recited daily in the morning from the information centre set up by the Department of Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture at stall number 1.

While talking to the media, the Honorary Secretary said that this time the religious and social organizations of the city were invited to perform Gita Paath and Havan Yagna on the ghats of Brahma Sarovar. On the request of KDB, these organizations performed Gita Paath and Havan Yagna in the morning on all the Ghats from 28th November to 15th December. This effort was made for the first time by the Kurukshetra Development Board and it was quite successful. All the credit for this goes to social workers and religious organizations, who organized Gita Paath and Havan Yagna for 18 days continuously.

He said the teachings of the holy Gita need to be spread among the people. An attempt was made to fulfill all these objectives through Havan Yagna and Gita Paath. Thus, in the coming years also such religious programmes will be organized on the ghats of Brahma Sarovar. Thousands of people ensured their participation in all these Yagnas, he added.

*Govt. will fulfill all promises made in manifesto: Ranbir Gangwa*

Chandigarh, December 15 - Haryana's Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Sh. Ranbir Gangwa on Sunday paid a gratitude visit to Rajli, Panghal, Dhani Khan Bahadur and Dhani Mirdad villages in Hisar district and listened to the problems of the common people. He directed the concerned officials to take appropriate steps towards their resolution.

While addressing the villagers, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said that the Haryana Government has always fulfilled its manifesto and will continue to do so in the future. The Cabinet Minister said that the Chief Minister had promised that as soon as the government is formed, he will give jobs to two lakh youth without 'parchi-kharchi'. He gave jobs to 25,000 youth on the basis of merit as soon as he took oath.

The Cabinet Minister said that the steps that the State Government is taking today under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for the welfare of the DSC community in the state will benefit every age group of the society. He told the villagers that the PWD Rest House has been inaugurated in Barwala, and now on two days of the week i.e. Monday and Saturday, he will listen to the problems of the common people in the PWD Rest House of Barwala.

*Union Minister of State lays stone for construction of drain in Faridabad

*Chandigarh, December 15 - Union Minister of State for Cooperation Sh. Krishan Pal Gurjar has said that India will progress only when work is done with the intention of taking the country forward. He was addressing people after laying the foundation stone for the construction of an RMC drain to be built at a cost of Rs 5.5 crore from Pyali Chowk to 60 feet road in Faridabad today.

The Union Minister of State said the government will end the problem of sewerage and drinking water in the NIT Assembly constituency. People have voted for us for the development of the area and I assure you that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi and guidance of Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the NIT Vidhan Sabha will also develop like the rest of the country. Our priority is to resolve the problems of backward areas first. This is our moral duty, he added. He said not just on 60 feet road, work will be done to resolve the problem of water logging in the entire NIT area. MLA Sh. Satish Fagna also expressed his views on this occasion.

*Krishan Kumar Bedi to chair Grievances Committee meet in Yamunanagar*

Chandigarh, December 15- The monthly meeting of District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee, Yamunanagar will be held at 11 am on December 19 in the auditorium of the District Secretariat under the chairmanship of Social Justice and Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi.

All department heads of the district and non-official members of the committee will be present in the meeting.

*5-day exhibition of clay, Khadi products begins in Kurukshetra*

*KVIC Chairman Sh. Manoj Kumar inaugurates exhibition at Brahma Sarovar complex*

Chandigarh, December 15 - A five-day exhibition of various village industry products like clay artifacts, pottery and Khadi products was inaugurated by Sh. Manoj Kumar, Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India at Draupadi Koop in the Brahma Sarovar complex, Kurukshetra today. Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, the exhibition aims to provide a marketing platform to institutions, artisans and beneficiaries associated with 'Kumhar Empowerment', Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana to empower them economically.

KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar said the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is doing commendable work under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi to preserve the legacy of Khadi and cottage industries. Through the exhibition, the KVIC is providing a platform to those artisans and beneficiaries from all over the country. He said a total of 21 stalls have been set up in the exhibition, out of which 15 belong to those potters to whom KVIC has provided electric wheels through Kumhar Sashaktikaran Yojana. Along with this, there are 6 stalls of beneficiaries of PMEGP/Khadi institutions in which products of village industry have been displayed. Live demos have also been organized to explain the process of making Khadi and pottery products to the visitors.

*Shruti Choudhry to chair meeting of Grievances Committee today*

Chandigarh, December 15 - Haryana's Women, Child Development and Irrigation Minister Shruti Choudhry will chair the meeting of the District Public Relations and Public Grievances Committee in Fatehabad on December 16. A total of 17 complaints will be taken up in this meeting.

Giving information, a government spokesperson said in the meeting of the District Public Relations and Public Grievances Committee, Fatehabad, three complaints which were pending from the last meeting have also been included. Apart from this, 14 new complaints will be taken up.
