BILASPUR,26.04.25-Government Hydro Engineering College (GHEC), Bandla, Bilaspur successfully organized an online session on "Industry-Academic Interaction for Enhancing Employability Skills" on 26th April 2025. The session was conducted for all the government engineering colleges of Himachal Pradesh, aiming to bridge the gap between academic education and industry requirements.

The event was graced by the presence of the Hon'ble Technical Minister, Shri Rajesh Dharmani, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, Shri Dharmani emphasized the need for aligning educational practices with the evolving needs of industries to enhance the employability of engineering graduates. He encouraged students to actively acquire industry-oriented skills alongside their academic learning.

The keynote session was delivered by Mr. C. Ramesh, CEO of Visiontek, Hyderabad. In his insightful presentation, Mr. Ramesh highlighted the expectations of industries from fresh graduates and outlined the essential skills needed to thrive in today's dynamic and competitive professional world. He stressed the importance of practical experience, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and adaptability in securing successful careers.

Dr. Himanshu Monga, Director-cum-Principal of GHEC Bandla, expressed his views by stating,"Such sessions provide students with valuable industry exposure, preparing them to face real-world challenges beyond academics. It is essential for engineering students to develop skills that make them competent and confident to meet the demands of the professional world."

The session witnessed active participation from students and faculty members across various government engineering colleges of Himachal Pradesh, making it a highly engaging and meaningful event.

The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Shashi Gurung, Associate Professor, under the able guidance of Dr. Himanshu Monga, Director-cum-Principal of GHEC Bandla.
