Chandigarh : 12 May, 2023-TBRL(Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory), DRDO, Chandigarh Celebrated the National Technology Day at TBRL Range Ramgarh, Panchkula.

Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa (Retd), Former Chief of Air Staff was the chief guest. Addressing on the occassion he highlighted the evolving warfare scenario and emphasized the necessity of indigenous technology base for defence needs of the country. The evolving conflict scenario would require networking of assets and resources with precise targeting and minimum collateral damage.

Prof. Parteek Kishore, Director TBRL brought out the requirement for synergetic development of next-generation technologies is collaboration with academia and industry. He said that TBRL technology development roadmap as well as for enhancing the test and evaluation capabilities to support indigenous development of complex technologies.

On this occasion, Sh. R K Bhardwaj was awarded lab level National Technology Day award 2023 for his outstanding contribution in development of insensitive munitions about defence technologies. More than 500 officers and staff of TBRL attended the function.

In order to create awareness among students, a visit of 200 NCC cadets from different parts of the country and school students of Chandigarh were also organised.
